Couldn’t get another P5 job. He probably could have hung around Buffalo for a couple of more seasons to see if he could have landed one, but he’s in his late 50s and probably didn’t want to take the chance and miss out on the opportunity.

Wow, truthfully didn’t know he was that old. Good luck to him I’d like to see him hang it up after getting Kansas to #25-20

I married a KState girl and her dad's side are all KU folks. Of course, most are typical KU fans in that they aren't invested in anything other than basketball (which means they're not invested), but her dad is the exception. I kept telling him I liked the Leipold hire and I think he's finally starting to believe me.

At this point I don’t feel bad about any loss we incurred from 2009-2020 if only because they helped hasten the departures of terrible coaches.

They’re trying like hell to get Gameday in Lawrence. Duke is actually a decent football team. I went to the game yesterday and as much as I hate to say it, this team is much more like a football team than any of Cut’s previous 3 years. Mike Elko has done a great job so far.

Drinkwitz is a classic case of a decent co-ordinator that can't swing the big job. Happens a lot.

Consider that no one is going to succeed up there going forward. Gary Pinkel was the best coach they ever had and Mizzou brought their best teams of all time those first few years int he SEC. That was their golden age.
Drinkwitz has to coach up 2 stars and that can work anywhere except the SEC. He is no Pinkel.
