Don't say retarded ****, as hard as it may be for you. If you think there's much difference in the day to day happenings or clientele of people in AL and TN, you're the one who's not very smart. I voluntarily moved to AL 10 months ago for a job and it's been one of the best places I've lived. I'm looking forward to staying for a long time and raising my kids in a great environment.

Nah, gotta go where the job goes. Also, per capita Huntsville has the largest concentration of engineers in the US. The rest of the state pretty much sucks, and Tuscaloosa is the armpit of America.

We've thoroughly enjoyed north AL since relocating here. Has everything you need without the overpopulation of Nashville or B'ham; so far.

Athens. Wife works in Huntsville and I work in Decatur. We looked from Meridianville to Decatur and liked the size and quietness of Athens (more me than her). She initially wanted Madison, due to it being the "it" place but yesterday she finally came around and said she couldn't live in Madison, due to the traffic. My insistence on living in small towns outside of the cities we've worked in, has finally paid off. She's starting to realize how nice it is to drive 5 miles to church, daycare, grocery store etc and it actually only takes 5 min.

Actually it was a joke and me taking a jab at the Bama fan in this thread, but you're such a miserable person you apparently personalized it. Even the other guy I quoted that's a Vol fan in Bama didn't take it to heart. Maybe you should pour yourself a cream soda or something and chill the he11 out.

I use to drive through the state a lot back in the day for work. North Alabama wasn't too bad, but once the roads started appearing as if they haven't been paved in a decade I knew I was in a different world. I couldn't wait until I hit the Florida panhandle.

Yeah, im very familiar with Athens. My wife wont go for that so i live right in the middle of the city. Traffic sucks, but happy wife, happy life.

Yeah, i hate going south. I used to drill in Bessemer Al. Guntersville is okay, everything south of that sucks.
