Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I'm just going to throw this question out there. Had there been a large group of black people openly carrying firearms into the state, does anybody think they get treated differently than these protesters?

Maybe you guys are right, but I'm not buying that there are more in the meat packing industry than any other "plant" type places and that's why the sudden outbreak. Idk though.

I can’t really speak for any other places , I was young and dumb when I worked there . The pay per hour is good , they worked me over like a stray dog and I almost lost my life in it . ( I nicked my femoral artery while working at a break neck speed to try make production numbers that shift . It’s not a good place to work and every job I’ve had since then has been hands down better regardless of how sh!tty it was .

I can't even sharpen my own knives at home without nearly bleeding to death when I'm done. If I worked in a meat packing plant it would be mass carnage.

DeVos sued for seizing student loan borrowers' wages during pandemic

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos is continuing to garnish the wages of federal student loan borrowers who fall behind on payments even though Congress suspended the practice in the economic rescue package, according to a new lawsuit.

An upstate New York woman who works as a home health aide for less than $13 an hour claimed in the lawsuit, filed late Thursday, that the federal government seized more than $70 from her paycheck as recently as last week — nearly a full month after President Donald Trump signed the CARES Act into law. She is suing on behalf of about 285,000 borrowers whose wages are being garnished, according to the lawsuit.

What's up with meat plants being hit hard and not other manufacturing businesses?

But that's what started this exchange. My answer was maybe because of the raw animal meat and blood and the sanitary habits of these plants. Lol. Its a no brainer to me, but Im aware that I'm not the sharpest cheese on the platter.

We were given 5 knives at the start of a shift , they are razor sharp . You have a ceramic rod and a steel rod the sharpen the two you keep when they come by to take three back to reset the edge once a day . You mostly had about a 12 inch space to work on if you do chuck bone or pull off the line . One person to the left of you and one person to the right of you are all doing the same thing . To say it’s dangerous is a wee bit of an understatement. Lol

The one I worked in was clean , there’s a USDA guy on the floor at all times and it’s really cold so there not a lot of blood and guts on the cutting floor . The nasty parts are the holding pens and where they start the process

How dumb do you have to be to have $10,000 of student loan debt at 59 years old? What did she do, flunk out of hairdresser school?

Lol, yep.

That you've nothing better to do than post a meme you admit to be dishonest just to provoke a reaction - and find it funny - means you're an insipid bomb-thrower, and is hardly an intellectual pursuit.

"Lol"

Lulz. I have no clue, I just imagine there is more blood, guts, fat, feces, urine in the holding pens, feathers, hair, body parts etc of animals in one of those plants than there are in all of the automotive plants. That's all I meant.

You're going to need IV valium and an AED if you ever accidentally stumble into the meme thread in this forum.

Yes that would be true of course , but they are or I should say ours was a separated facility . The meat ready to debone is also ready to be packed and sent to the shipped dock . The other parts of the facility are ummm less than stellar . Lol
