Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I actually have to work tomorrow. Not gonna lie, this sleeping til noon business has grown on me just a bit... and I'm going to have to set my alarm for 4, just to leave myself time to shave the ZZ Top beard I've been growing for over a month. Gonna be a long day.

This is exactly how socialism/communism works. It is always ok for the dear leaders and elitist to do it and dont you dare question them but for the mass population you better tow the line and obey the rules or punishment will follow.
Not that Biden is much better but Trumpous Pompous Maximus would love it if you and the other toadies would call him “Dear Leader”. Why do you think he loves to hang around dictators like Putin and the Korean Humpty Dumpty? He has patterned himself after them and would love to be crowned King. I can assure you that he could care less about you or anyone except himself and those goofy kids of his. Can you imagine Don Jr or Eric actually accomplishing anything on their own? If they ever do, it will be a first.

It's true that Trump has publicly spoken of Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un in greater reverence than he has the leadership of our allies, including Justin Trudeau, Emmanuel Macron and Angela Merkel. That is strange.

I don’t know what line of work you’re in, but the comments you posted are super out of touch.

Small business people are seeing businesses they’ve spent their lives building to down the tubes. A LOT of people have taken pay cuts so their employers can keep cash flow positive. Others have been furloughed.

It’s a disaster out there and it was caused by the equivalent of a bad flu. And you think they just want to be able to go back to having dinner at Crapplebees.

It's hard to reason with people who think the pushback we're seeing can be boiled down to people wanting to get a haircut. A person has to be totally detached from reality to not see the economic damages resulting from these shutdowns.

Anyway, wasn't the goal to "flatten the curve" and hasn't that been accomplished at this point? I know it's been brought up in this thread before but I haven't seen any of the panic pushers address it.

No one is going to be putting a gun to the hairdressers head if they don't want to go back to work...

That entire letter is full of nonsense because (for now), there are not forced work camps or the govt doesn't force you to go to work. To compare that to slavery is ridiculous.

I think many believe that when this goes away everything just goes back to normal from a economic standpoint. It doesn’t. This is the biggest tidal wave to hit our economy in modern history. The bailouts are no where near over. And that creates a whole other problem. IMO the next 12-18 months will be very hard on everyone financially. That’s best case.

And it's totally self-inflicted. Absolutely ridiculous.
