Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Muh buzz cut. Muh secret dye job. Muh pedicure.

I went to dinner with some friends at a nice restaurant on Sat night. We purposefully made a late reservation to avoid crowds because everyone in my area eats between 5-7. The bartender I spoke to said two of her counterparts had already quit (after one day back) because of people coughing on them or getting too close to them while they were trying to serve food. The manager came by our table to check on us. We asked him how things were going. He said they had to stop people from coming in because they admitted they were running fever or were coughing badly. He admitted that it wasn't likely the customers had COVID but he didn't want to make his staff or other customers uncomfortable. People want restaurants and other service retail places to reopen but some don't have a lot of regard for the people who are serving them.

Your anecdote and personal opinion being noted...I'm still calling BS here.

Calling BS. I have 8 locations that have been open for dine in all week. I am 100% positive each one served more people then wherever you say you went. None of my managers or teams have reported any such behavior by the public.
That doesn't fit his narrative, you know condem everyone for going out while he's out

Him actually thinking we are going to believe customers were coming in and admitting they had fevers and were sick was the most ridiculous.

This fear peddling has to stop. It just has to.

They asked every customer, including me, if they had fever in the last 24 hours. One confessed to having run temp on Friday.

It think it is telling that would you consider my story fear peddling. Those who take exception to my story are so afraid of hearing blowback from reopening businesses that you all are losing your $hit. I was merely sharing a story of what restaurant people are having to deal with now.

Interesting... That paints a far different picture in my mind than what you said earlier:

He said they had to stop people from coming in because they admitted they were running fever or were coughing badly.

One statement makes it as though you had either Curly or Shemp Howard sneezing and carrying on like they had sniffed some black pepper. The other statement seemed like a more laid back situation.

I call ********. You went to dinner with friends. Did you sit at different tables? You spoke to a bartender and a waitress who handled your food and beverages. You mock hair and nail salons when there is very little difference while you yourself indulge some mixed company at an establishment. Its hypocritical at the very definition. Do as I say not as I do, right?

Our bartender and waitress stayed as far away from us as possible while wearing gloves and masks. It is not hypocritical that I pointed out some on here were busting a gut to reopen everything but employees of these places were impacted.

There was one guy who couldn't stop coughing that they wouldn't seat. The guy and his wife were understanding.

Its funny, because when I went out Saturday, the servers and bartenders I saw were happy to be there and they did not have on masks.

Your local bar must just suck.

This should be any true Americans fear.

Yes, because restaurants in my county reopened on 5/1. Nothing hypocritical about going to an open restaurant.
You are getting on to people for wanting things to open back up but at the same time you're taking advantage of your County being back open. Which is it with you guys? You can't have your cake and eat it to.
