And again, no one is forcing those salons and barbershops to open back up. If the owners feel that they should stay closed or if the employees don't feel it would be safe, then they are not mandated to go to work. Slavery is illegal (for now).

The only thing that has been mandated is that things were shutdown.

I’m jealous at the other states that are being allowed to reopen. Here in KY the brilliant governor has his own full proof plan in place. Starting next Monday you’re required to wear a mask in public. Soft reopening is happening over the next few weeks, but restaurants probably won’t be allowed to reopen until mid-June, at the earliest.

I'm thinking... what employer in his right mind would force someone to come back to work after all of this if they are not ready to return? Or for that matter, what kind of person would you have to be to go back to work when you don't want to (esp. since the govt is handing out cash and prizes)? I'm not saying those people don't exist, but I guarantee you that ALL of the businesses that opened were not forced to open and that 95% of the servers and bartenders that went in to work because they wanted to, with the few exception of those that just wanted to virtue signal or make a scene.

Do you realize this is your seventh reply to my post? For god's sake get a life.

Businesses wanted to reopen because they could. Not all employees wanted to go back now. Not all employees came back to this restaurant and two quit. There are salons in Sumner County that won't reopen yet even though they can.

He's pointing out your hypocrisy, you shouldn't be going to places like this because by doing so you're putting the employees at risk, right?

You just admitted or highlighted what the real solution to this should have been.

For all of those that are in fear of catching the virus, they should have stayed home and sheltered in place for however long they felt necessary. Or, if they needed to come out, they should take it upon themselves to protect themselves. Cover up, wear masks, practice social distancing as much as possible and avoid large gatherings.

The rest of us could have gone on as usual.

This virus sheds from people who are asymptomatic. You give just as little regard to those employees by contributing to the revenue that validates the restaurant being open for dine in when you could he shedding the virus currently without even knowing it. You're hypocritical twice over.

Stop it. I took a test and was negative. Have you patronized a business that was closed? Were you worried about shedding the virus?
