Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Per Politico:

"The Obama White House National Security Council left the Trump Administration a detailed document on how to respond to a pandemic. The document, whose existence was publicly revealed by Politico in March, was called the "Playbook for Early Response to High-Consequence Emerging Infectious Disease Threats and Biological Incidents".

The playbook - 40 pages plus appendices - contained step-by-step advice on questions to ask, decisions to make, and which federal agencies were responsible for what. It included sample documents that officials could use for inter-agency meetings. And it explicitly listed novel coronaviruses as one of the kinds of pathogens that could require a major response.

The color-coded, checklist-style document addressed issues such as testing, funding, personal protective equipment, emergency declarations, border control measures, diplomacy, the use of the military, public communications, even mortuary services."

****************************

By all accounts, this "playbook", with its advanced warnings and suggestions, went completely ignored by the Trump Administration.

It's negligent to not utilize information resources at one's disposal. I would anticipate Dr Fauci was instrumental in crafting the playbook since he has served with many administrations. If so, I could understand why the book wasn't opened. I wonder what recommendations were made and how did DJT's response differ (if it did)?

That is not true. Dr. Rick Bright is definitely NOT in the minority when it comes to expressing concerns about the effectiveness of Hydroxychloroquine as a means of treatment for the Coronavirus.

... and can't you do any better than Chanel Rion of OAN as a source? Hell, even InfoWars has more credibility. Good lord.

Something, something dark side.

So am I correct that lady is being arrested for not wearing a mask in public? I don't know that I agree with arresting her, but I'm not sure where the constitution says the government cannot require us to wear a mask during a pandemic (assuming you accept the premise a pandemic exists). Is there some kind of implicit constitutional right for a citizen to govern his own private affairs that isn't spelled out? Are you supportive of a "V" type revolution if not?
I cant bold on my phone, but wut?

Particularly to this part. ". Is there some kind of implicit constitutional right for a citizen to govern his own private affairs that isn't spelled out?"

I really hope this is joking because it's pretty much all of them. But at the least I will toss out the 9th if you actually want to educate yourself.

I really really hope I was being trolled here but I cant tell anymore.

Every indication coming from the White House suggests that the Trump Administration believed that simply closing off travel to and from China in late January, was the only proactive measure which needed to be taken in order to protect Americans.

My county has about 725k residents. We've had 37 deaths and 2/3 of those were from assisted living (mostly one facility). Please tell me again why there are still limits on my free movement
Your County is even better than Knox county where

Mortality is 1:100,000.

Don't get over your skis on this. NIH began high quality phase two trials yesterday on the hydroxychloroquine/azithromycin combo which seems promising if given early. This one will give us an actual science answer, so no need to argue in the meantime.

We all hope the anecdotes prove true here, I'm sure. We'd then have two proven vectors to try--this and remdesivir. Obviously neither vector is a cure or we wouldn't have 85k dead in 10 weeks, but we will get increasingly better outcomes. This trial of the combo shows we are fine-tuning the treatment modes.
