Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

My county has about 725k residents. We've had 37 deaths and 2/3 of those were from assisted living (mostly one facility). Please tell me again why there are still limits on my free movement
There really shouldn't be any limits on your movement, but in the highly unlikely event that you would need to enter an assisted living facility, you should take the thoughtful precaution of putting on a protective mask. Our Vice President, Mike Pence, and his press secretary, Katie Miller (Studly Stephen's new wife), actually did enter an assisted living facility last week with neither one of the wearing a mask. As fortune would have it, Katie Miller tested positive for the Coronavirus just a few days later. How brilliant are these people?

Headline News: fired guy complains about man who fired him

Sounded more like he was sounding the alarm to his superiors, being ignored, and yelling louder that got him fired.

Certainly, we're all shocked to hear of high level bureaucracy ignoring the inconvenient warnings of impending disaster.

Every indication coming from the White House suggests that the Trump Administration believed that simply closing off travel to and from China in late January, was the only proactive measure which needed to be taken in order to protect Americans.
Are the Dems counting on this as a big campaign issue or something? Even the non-liberals who are disgusted by DJT are of the opinion the virus was relatively inconsequential for 99.995% of our population.
I think your better play is his destruction of our economy and grotesque deficit spending.

Deaths or infections associated with Miller's visit at the facility?

Don't get over your skis on this. NIH began high quality phase two trials yesterday on the hydroxychloroquine/azithromycin combo which seems promising if given early. This one will give us an actual science answer, so no need to argue in the meantime.

We all hope the anecdotes prove true here, I'm sure. We'd then have two proven vectors to try--this and remdesivir. Obviously neither vector is a cure or we wouldn't have 85k dead in 10 weeks, but we will get increasingly better outcomes. This trial of the combo shows we are fine-tuning the treatment modes.

NIH begins clinical trial of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin to treat COVID-19

Yep, given early has been the key for most treatments on the hydroxychloroquine. Also depends on the dose and what else is added as in the azithromycin and zync. Not everyone will have a favorable outcome but just like any treatment there is always the fine print in the details for some. There are going to be risk but minimal. Probably no more risk than the Flu Shot presents in some patients. I think most testing have shown it to be more the 90% effective which is damn good. The Fake News and DIMs only want to report on the bad cases as usual. Out of those not in the 90%, most still do not die from it.

What is this alarm you speak? His opinion is subjective

Taking down a woman (or man) with her child (or without) for not wearing a mask is not acceptable in either scenario. And it is not THE emblem of government abuse, but yet ANOTHER one.

Give her a warning ticket.

Clarity is not a binary choice world of take down or no take down, good grief.

How about, mind their own ****ing business? That seems like teh best option.

He probably deserved to be fired then.

i kid...

But really, Bret Baier really put the screws to the Trump admin for firing this guy. Is Fox news back on the MSM menu?

Bret Baier has something CNN can’t seem to wrap their hands around . Honesty . He’s a good dude .

I'm actually surprised that any Democrats want Nascar to come back, ever.

Talk about media agenda headline lists how “Republicans” wants NASCAR (bc they are rednecks see) and golf (bc they are rich pricks) to come back but those were at the bottom of the sports list. Football and basketball were way ahead in that poll because everyone wants them back and yet not even mentioned in headline

You dems who wanted to pretend you started to care about spending, where is your outrage over the 3T your gal polident pelosi is going go get passed?
I think you can give up the charade you care about responsible spending. Neither the partisan left nor right cares. They only care when the other side does it.

Deaths or infections associated with Miller's visit at the facility?
Obviously, there is no way to know if she contracted it from within the facility or spread it to others. However, it was thoughtless of them and not very smart. The whole reason they went there in the first place is because they understand that these facilities are high-risk for the contraction of the Coronavirus. How much time does it take to put on a mask? How hard is it to put on a mask? She should have had one on while inside of the assisted living center. There is no excuse for that sort of carelessness.

I’m sure that’s it

What would you have done different?
As a republican, I'd have recognized the NY is actually 2 states, I'd have locked down NYC, tossed in some medical supplies and body bags and watched the controlled burn, then have a republican state when this was over.......and before you flame this is in blue font.

Yeah because you thought an Obama appointed official would be complimentary of his response?

As we've come to see, just because someone is appointed during an administration - doesn't mean they are sycophants of the president, in fact many come to despise them.

All your rhetoricals are valid. However, you're really upset about optics and hypotheticals. There is so much more relevant stuff to earn your ire.
