Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

love how Trump is now "suspending" regulations that could be harmful to the economy. If they're so bad why not just eliminate them altogether?
Well, I know what you are saying. But it would probably be the same reason why we don't eliminate the so-called "non-essential" jobs whenever we have a govt shutdown.

6 deaths per a million people..... oooohhbb scary stuff..... shut her down!
I always love putting these in perspective. Boil that down to a full Neyland stadium, rounded to 100k. That's something we have all experienced. Now imagine .6 people from that 100k got up and left.

No one would notice. The people sitting next to them would barely notice.

Now take unemployment. Approx 200 million workers, 35 million unemployed. In the same scenario that's 17,500 people not cheering on the Vols despite being present. That's hugely noticable. Like when Bama or UF would take over Neyland during the Butch and Dooley years.

Actually no, but you do bring up a good point. That whole episode was due to someone who leaked it and was out to get him. How many of Obama's telephone calls to foreign leaders did we ever hear about? That only became news because of the career insiders who were out to get him.
Actually, no. That whole episode was due to an abuse of power on the part of President Donald Trump. It was inappropriate for the President of the United States to leverage military aid which had been authorized by Congress, to an ally, against their government's willingness to investigate an upcoming opponent of his in the next Presidential General Election. This determination of fact was not reached strictly down party lines either. Once again, I will point to the statement released on Twitter by Republican Senator Lamar Alexander, from the red state of Tennessee, who admitted that President Donald Trump had indeed withheld aid to the Ukraine, at least in part, to encourage an investigation into Joe Biden. In this statement, Sen. Alexander also acknowledged that this action taken by President Donald Trump, was inappropriate. It is also worth noting that Sen. Alexander's statement was never rebuffed by Republican Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell. Sen. Alexander did not believe that President Trump's actions rose to the level of being an impeachable offense, but the wrongdoing itself, was agreed upon in Sen. Alexander's public statement.
