Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

When did i pivot?

You went to arguing the USPS couldnt be trusted in this supposed process. This is about individuals, not the USPS. Even my proposed examples focused on that, not the USPS.

But I give up. You are one of those great thinkers offering solutions for problems that dont exist. You should run for office.

Bottom line: is there an inherent risk to the integrity of voting by mail? Sure. Just like there is inherent risk of me getting into my car and veering off a cliff. Everything has risk. So to say you vehemently disagree with voting by mail because of risk must mean you are a hermit crab who only leaves his shell to find a new one hoping to Cthulhu you don’t get eaten on the way.

Come on Hill, you seriously aren't saying the Republicans would be out there saying a 60 year old medicine would kill you if it worked on h1n1 with Obama in office.
Maybe not all. Just the group that claims his wife has a penis, he wasn’t born here, and his goal was to destroy America. Just that group.

We have locked an entire country down for a virus that kills .2% of the people it infects. Our tolerance for risk is apparently pretty close to zero.

There was actual cold hard proof in the form of 80,000 deaths and over a million cases of COVID. There is merely a chance of proof with voting by mail.

I have a friend who has posted quite a few anti-reopening memes, etc yet he's a small business owner and re-opened as soon as it was allowed. He's been re-open for weeks and just yesterday posted a set of lyrics that were about how people were dying from re-opening.

Is the tribalism so strong that people just repeat "Team Messages" even if they are behaving in the opposite manner?

Cross-posted in the low IQ thread (i.e. QAnon).

Maybe I missed it but where was the home recipe for the drug? I saw where someone said drink Schweppes Tonic Water, which is essentially a soda but other than that I saw no where that people were attempting to make the drug and posting it. This headline is incredibly misleading and dishonest

It wouldn't surprise me.

It also wouldn't surprise me if the opposite were true...ie...those that post anti-gov and not wearing mask memes, yet are still sheltering at home and wearing a mask when they go out.

Yeah, you missed it:

Other Trump fans desperate for hydroxychloroquine have turned to unconventional, potentially dangerous methods. Last week, promoters of the pro-Trump QAnon conspiracy theory—which posits that top Democrats run pedophile sex dungeons and eat children—boosted a “home recipe” for hydroxychloroquine that consisted of steeping various fruit rinds. While the recipe’s proponents claimed that it would help people avoid “big pharmas fillers,” the fruits suggested in the recipe, like grapefruit, could react dangerously with other medications.

I don't think i've seen anyone condemn the trials. The crux was that the drug was being touted as a miracle elixir without anything more than anecdotal stories as evidence of efficacy. Most of the studies (like the VA) either found no evidence of improved outcome or like the French trials, were shut down over safety concerns. Pointing these things out isn't a condemnation at all on the trials.

Good on the NIH for it's trial, that's what qualified medical researchers should be doing.
They aren’t mad at Trump for taking hydroxychloroquine because it’s dangerous. They’re mad because he’s proving it’s safe.

Does this mean you are in favor of opening up the country?
