Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

That is funny, but also stupid.

What am I supposed to do if the guy I voted for loses? Move every time? Burn down city hall?

And if so, what happens when all the like minded individuals group together? Is that when the Civil War starts?

You move or work to get candidates that will support your views elected.

You're going a tad off the deep end with this post.

Will somebody please explain to me what the issue is with increasing positive cases, in and of itself? Everybody is reporting this as a bad thing.

As you already know, there is no issue with increasing positive cases and it's definitely not a "bad" thing in and of itself. We're testing to a greater extent and lifting distancing restrictions, so people are inherently more likely to be exposed to and contract the virus while being apprised of their "illness."

As long as hospitals don't become overcrowded (they won't) and the mortality rate keeps dwindling (it will), this is good news!

Will somebody please explain to me what the issue is with increasing positive cases, in and of itself? Everybody is reporting this as a bad thing. What is the issue with healthy people getting this? I feel like if doom and gloom is going to be reported, it should be qualified as "# of positive cases with at risk people" or something to that affect.

And as a side note, CNN is just ridiculous with all this. They are squinting and turning their heads to look at the data in a way that puts the most negative spin possible, no matter how good things really are.

What I would like to see reported is active cases. We keep hearing (at least on our local news) the amount of cases, amount of recovered and deaths. When they say there have been 18,000 cases in TN, 11,000 recovered and 300 dead does that mean there are 6700 active?

I know, it's just frustrating when the news leads with some story like "this state has had is second biggest jump in cases since this began". I literally scream at the TV...."So what!!!!?".

How? I'm just going to your logical conclusion. You are basically suggesting political segregation is the answer, where politicians only represent the people that voted for them. That's not how we do things in this country.

I honestly don't know what to believe. All I know is things aren't bad, hospitals aren't overloaded, and when I go out and about nobody really seems to care anymore.

No, I'm not suggesting anything of the sort. I'm suggesting that the people of Fairfax county voted in these people that are now punishing them so they get what they deserve. They need to vote them out. I do not feel sorry for them.

This whole “coronavirus” vs “China flu” saga is hilarious. Trump very clearly meant it as a derogatory term and to say otherwise is disingenuous. Thing is, it doesn’t amount to a hill of beans for me. The ones defending and the ones blaming are both equally dumb.
Just can't trust your opinion any longer. You tend see all things through Rose Color Glasses.:)

Didn’t miss it, just don’t want to go looking for something that will be buried under more recent articles like this one. If it was important to you, you’d have looked it up yourself. If it wasn’t important enough for you to look for it, why should I?
You didn't look it up because you already know what you will find. If we are going to require people wear a mask can we at least make them wear an Elizabethan collar as well?

If you want to wear a mask, wear a mask. If a business requires patrons to wear a mask, wear a mask if you want to go in.

What I find to be hilarious is suddenly we have posters who support private businesses being allowed to discriminate who in the past railed against it.

Agreed. Even better than that are the people who rally around private business rights to deny making a cake for a gay couple and yet bitch about being told they have to wear a mask. I don’t see people arguing over having to wear shoes or shirts in stores.

We haven't met I see.
