Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Well, would you look at that...

The ridiculousness of trying to explain away killing your own economy by keeping businesses locked down while this is happening daily is truly mind numbing . EL .. isnt it about time for another twitter pic from you about how dumb the Rs are for not taking this seriously?

The DIMs are really scared at what is coming down the pike that they are willing to cut off their nose to spite their face.

Knox county update.

CFR down to 0.87%.
4 currently hospitalized. It had gotten as high as 8 in the past few days. Probably the high for knox county.

Last death april 28. Almost 7 weeks.

94 active cases.

I will be absolutely floored if the 5:00 PM Knox County Board of Health meeting on Wednesday doesn't end with the permission to progress into Phase 3.

"could cause deadly side effects" per the FDA. The fact that Trump promoted this drug by saying things like "what do you have to lose" is a dereliction of duty on his part. He's on the wrong side of very argument, all the time. He's a national and global disgrace who has no business running a lemonade stand never mind a Country.

how many phases does Tennessee have ?

Not that I know the ins-and-outs of every state but, of those with which I'm familiar, Tennessee is the most complicated.

Tennessee itself has four phases for the Tennessee Pledge (image not 100% accurate in terms of what is/is not permitted) and, to my knowledge, is now in Phase 3. However, the six largest counties are handling their reopening separately. Shelby County, for example, entered into a Phase 3 today while Nashville decided to drag their feet.

The Knox County Health Department has said that there are only three phases for Knox County (presently in Phase 2), but that only makes sense to me if there's a "next step" which basically serves as back to normal because I doubt the poorly-defined Phase 3 is going to involve everything open with 100% capacity and no distancing. The Health Board has Glenn Jacobs on it so I feel as if it's geared more towards a sensible progression through the phases than a solely health-focused view, but I'd guess you'll see something like ~75% capacity at restaurants and (hopefully) the reopening of at-bar seating.

NYC Coronavirus Contact Tracers Won’t Ask About Protest Attendance

New York City contact tracers, those who are tasked with tracing and monitoring the contacts of those who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, are not asking infected individuals if they have recently participated in large-scale protests, according to Mayor Bill de Blasio’s (D) office.

The state’s contact-tracing program is designed to “slow the spread of COVID-19 and make it safer to begin to return to normal again” and has been touted by leaders across the state. However, after months of warnings detailing the risks of attending gatherings — both large and small — contact tracers are being instructed to refrain from asking individuals if they recently attended protests, some of which have drawn thousands.
