Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

@NurseGoodVol,
Myocarditis... this looks like it's going to be the next thing used to scare these conferences and schools from playing football. How real of a risk is this?
are they associating this with covid? I think they are barking up the wrong tree. Every covid19 I've seen and taken care of have echocardiographs and cardiac ultrasounds. I usually assisted. Not one has show the myocardial tissue affected. Who brought this horse puckey up?
I can say that those who continue to test positive even after 5 weeks and continue to do poorly will probably have virions in all their muscle tissue. If you don't interrupt the replication with drugs or the immune system it will continue to replicate unfettered. That's really late in the illness though.

I agree with you with regard to our short term approach and their long term one

Our short term, no pain thinking is why we are in the financial shape we are in. If we don't start thinking long term and quit using the pain some correct decisions cause as election rallying cry we are doomed. Leaders (and I'm not calling Trump one) sometimes have to make decisions that cause temporary pain for long term gain and bashing them for it, throwing them out of office and changing strategy midstream is not a recipe for long term stability.

You are one of those people that watches a public zoom call and then gets on Twitter and cries "see see he wasn't wearing a mask and he works for the state government!!!!", aren't you?
Why would anyone expect someone on a zoom call to wear a mask? If you have a mostly functioning brain you know that person is doing the call from home. They're not in a public place.

The average IQ in America is 98, meaning that there's a considerable portion of the 330+million people, who have a much lower IQ.

People, can't handle the reality. Unfortunately, there are just too many ignorant people and people who just do not care. We are a society made up of big bodied grown adolescents and children. Pleasure principle and selfish lacking perspective because we have it so good here in America.

In our mother country Draconian C19 measures have led to a horrible contraction of their economy.

Covid-19: UK economy plunges into deepest recession since records began

This is not surprising considering how they've locked down. It was early July when restaurants were allowed to open even a little bit

Coronavirus lockdown: All you need to know about new measures

There is a significant portion of people who still believe the erroneous notion that lockdowns and severe restrictions are the key to beating this.

Yep. People there rent their houses out for a pretty penny.
We have done a number of projects down that way. We've been told anywhere from 25to50% of yearly sales can stem from tournament.

Some places make enough money to only open up for those 2 or 3 weeks.

The family of a friend of mine has been renting the same house every Masters for 20 -30 years, all the way back to his grandfather.

Had the fortune of attending about 30 years ago and stayed at a friend’s grandmother house. We were “practicing our swings” out in her yard one night and drinking. Woke up next morning and many divots in her manicured yard and dirt all over the cars..lol
