Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Keep trying to spin and be sure to wear your mask on zoom calls from your moms basement to remind the rest of your video game buddies to wear theirs, hip kid

Spin? Those are literal quotes from the article in the Tweet you were so giddy to post that you didn't bother to actually read; you are the exact type of person that Tweets like that and click-bait headlines are geared to.

Still letting yourself be made a fool of by not actually reading the articles in the Tweets you post...

By wearing a mask while video conferencing with the general public, we visually remind folks that masking is an important part of navigating the business of natural resources during this tumultuous time,”

We ask staff to wear masks when on externally facing calls is that, taken out of context, a screenshot of a staff person or high ranking department official, if not properly attributed, could be misinterpreted to suggest that state employees are not properly following the Governor’s directive,”

OK, that policy is stupid, if not insane. It is NOT an important part of navigating the business of natural resources (if you're working from home). It also makes it more difficult for others on your Zoom call to hear you and read your lips and your facial expressions, all important parts of communication.

I vote for insane...

Again, is anyone really going to question someone on a zoom call? No, maybe you Bernie Buddy but honestly no one else is going to give a flying f!@k.

You disagree with something, you have no argument. So you sping things to get away from the actual issue in question to take people down another path. NEWS FLASH, YOURE NOT AS SMART AS YOUR MOMMY TELLS YOU.

😂. It's hilarious you think that those reasons make it better.

Lol, you stare at people's mouths when you are talking to them? Or you are just trying to find some other reason to have a problem with it?

Considering that the point of most of these public zoom calls is to impart information and/or answer questions, I'm not sure if the amount of emotional response shown in someone's lips would enhance the delivery of that information.

Considering the absurdity of the bloated inefficient department and the reality that 90% of those people shouldn't have a job/career, is that, they have these redundant and meaningless meetings to somehow try and quantify their importance........typical new age American idiocy. Accomplish little, spend all the time making the appearance that they do.....

Comical.

Apparently that doesn't seem to work since they had to take it a step further and just say "wear a mask on your public-facing calls".

Pretty amazing that people in academia, who I assume is who they are mostly talking to can't understand simple ****. I do zoom meetings with clients and not 1 time has anyone mentioned masks, so I must conclude that we in the private sector are smarter.

Where did it say that all of their public facing calls were with people from 'academia'?

Shaved your beard off yet so you get a good seal on your mask?

I had to cut it to participate in IMT at work when we split production shifts to keep them segregated.

I normally don't do participate in IMT because of the extra on-call time and training requirements, but I'll take one for the team during the pandemic, and it's an extra $12,000/year.

Your attempt to defend their stupidity, was just additional stupidity.

Hilarious.

Sound in a Zoom meeting is not equal to a face to face. It becomes more likely that you'll not understand every word. Masks also muffle sounds. These factors make it all the more important to see expressions and read lips.

Are you stupid or do you just not follow the news? Have you not heard Trump talking about human rights abuses in Hong Kong? I don't know how you missed it but here's his executive order where he specifically mentions this:

The President's Executive Order on Hong Kong Normalization | The White House

Above he very specifically mentions the human rights abuses that China is imposing on Hong Kong and he goes on to announce his sanctions.

I don't mean to specifically pick on you because there are many around here, but I'm getting sick and tired of people lying about Trump. You've got plenty to work with w/o lying about his record. He's been very outspoken about these abuses and the NBA has turned a blind eye to them.

You can get by with your BS about Trump in the MSM but not here on VN!
He didn’t start talking about it until May of 2020. Let that sink in. 3 and a half years into his administration. Only after getting his ass handed to him in a trade war by them. He needs political football and found one. What the hell did he say about before this May?
