They suffer acutely based on their own choices...... some choices(work) maybe be harder to protect ones self from this but all other instances..... the individual can protect their self from this virus and it’s really not that difficult to do.....Many people haven't necessarily relied on the government and have suffered acutely from the virus.
Exactly right. And after your post there really isn't a need for anymore posts in this thread because you my friend nailed it.At the end of the day and after 85,000+ posts in this thread, this has always been the case. We all can argue all we want about the efficacy of shutdowns and mask mandates and infringement on civil liberties, etc...but if you are under 50 and healthy, which is the majority of this country, then this virus is a non-issue.
This has nothing to do with "wanting to kill grandma". This virus is going to do what it is going to do. We can't stop it, and we are far past the point where we need to "flatten the curve". This is what it is. If you are in the high risk group, it is up to you to mitigate your risk. There is nothing everyone else can do that will stop this virus. Again, it is going to move forward no matter what we do. It will run through the population and then we will move on.
The fear porn needs to stop and we need to report on this like adults and a mature, informed public.
I don't think anyone is denying there's an actual virus but they're questioning the response to it by those in charge. We've seen hypocrites from all levels over government, including the president and there is the problem. We were told we couldn't have gatherings while people protested in the thousands, we were told we had to close dinning while those in control continued to do so, we were told not to travel while the elite traveled the globe. The virus is very real, it has effected several people however it has given power hungry people a chance to expand their power.
Can we stop the horse **** claim that we are handling this virus so poorlySometimes leadership and power are synonyms Had the supposed national leader stepped up this wouldn’t be this bad. The reason the US leads the world on CIVID and all the wrong statistics concerning it is a lack of consistent unified leadership
I totally agree. What I would have liked to have seen is a similar approach to China, where we gave Trump unlimited authority and control of the military to enforce sensible rules.Sometimes leadership and power are synonyms Had the supposed national leader stepped up this wouldn’t be this bad. Possibly but the toxicity on both sides didn't help, Trump hating the left and the left hating Trump. If one said go left the other would say go right, so that blame falls on both sides.Sometimes leadership and power are synonyms Had the supposed national leader stepped up this wouldn’t be this bad. We are by no means the only ones going through an upswing. You cut off the presentation and didn’t portray the data I consider more relevant. Deaths per confirmed cases. The rate had dropped from 5.8 % ( average) early on to 2.1% (average) just before the recent surge (predicted). Based on total deaths divided by total cases. But that rate on a daily basis is and will continue to be in the upswing
