Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Shyte the restaurants here in Memphis are fighting the ministry of health tooth and nail
Most of the ones here in Murfreesboro don’t even enforce the ridiculous mask mandate. What part of Memphis you in? I grew up Bartlett area, moved here in 2003

Germantown. shelby county health department used federal money to actually increase the amount of jobs they had. Those jobs are basically little nazi brown shirts that go around making sure restaurants comply. Restaurants are pissed how they are being treated and SCHD won't show them any data that proves COVID transmissions are related to restaurants. I'm going to go out on a limb and say there is no data to back it up

Of course there isn’t, this is about people enjoying their unconstitutional powers. And so many sheep like a few here just go along with it

There is a burger place here in the Boro and they are mask nazis, I haven’t went there since this started because these libs are in love with the mask they always post on FB about the mask. The places I go don’t make anyone wear a mask some of the employees don’t even wear one. And guess who has had to shutdown twice for positive cases? Hahaha this is too good to be true
Another small sample size, but fun example:

Knox County Schools: mask mandate for students, closing for the semester today due to illness

Loudon County Schools: no mask mandate, open on schedule

I don’t think any of these cases are simply a coincidence
Another local example: Lenoir City Schools did require masks from the start of the semester, and they went to a hybrid/virtual plan within the first month due to illness.

I'm telling you: when you look at the multiple studies on the effects of mask usage on influenza transmission, current trends in various areas of the country with/without mask mandates, the reporting of mask usage by people diagnosed with CV19, and analysis of specific individual circumstances (like these we have detailed), it's ludicrous to conclude that this measure is any significant help, at all.

If this burger place really cared about the safety of their patrons, they would require them to put the mask on in between bites of their burgers. Better safe than sorry.

Agree. I think about all they do is keep your "spray" from a sneeze or cough from getting very far and ending up on a surface or in someone's face, which is what I think the CDC and other health officials are saying when they say that it helps "prevent" Covid. So, it's probably just marginal protection in the grand scheme of things. I've used a mask religiously since everyone started encouraging it and I still got it. Probably touched a surface or something and didn't wash my hands well enough. Idk.

I think the argument could be made that masks do more damage than good

All you have to do is go to a grocery store produce section and watch people fondle every piece of fruit and vegetable in the place before they put the first thing they touched in their cart.

Vote Democrat, win tyrannical prizes.

DeBlasio and that city council should probably have bodyguards. Somebody that loses their business over these mandates, that they've worked for all their life, may/will decide they have nothing left to lose. These decisions are creating immense stress on people that have lost everything as a result.

Yep. My wife asked where's the most likely place I picked it up. From looking back at the timeline of days off, work schedule etc,, I would say grocery store is in the lead.

I wouldn’t be sad

Dave Portnoy is a tool that does pizza reviews. He should stick to that.
A guy who gives his opinions should stick to giving his opinions?

Should he even be reviewing pizza? Is he an experienced pizza chef? Should anyone be talking about anything unless they have multiple PhD's and 50 years of experience on the subject?

Think about what you just posted and what you report that he is.
Sounds like he is sticking up for his clients/restaurants to me. Not to mention that his opinion is just as valid as ours.

I don’t watch his pizza reviews regularly, but I have seen them before. It was enough to determine that he is a self-interested frat boy tool. That is my opinion on his opinions.

If anyone wants to see for themselves they are all over YouTube.
