Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

You do realize that they did "have" the vaccine in a couple of weeks. The testing took longer. Did he say it would be distributed in a couple of weeks?
You are trying to hard.

I was talking about in September when he said a few weeks.

We can get technical about everything, but again, as long as we are just talking about the singular claim of a vaccine by the end of the year, then Trump was right.

As far as delivery, I think this was on or around Thanksgiving. I mean, he was close, but just to be technical, I'd say 100% wrong.

I've just been giving you guys a hard time, mostly. Hopefully the vaccines and rollout go smoothly.

Or if you want to hold Fauci up as competent, then you have to ignore all his mistaken claims.

I'm not. But it would be his responsibility to keep his predictions limited to using the standards for approval.

On the other hand it would be in Trump's interest to push for the approval by the end of the year.

Other people can argue if either may have an ulterior motive. Personally, my bias tells me that one of the two would seem of an more obvious choice to have one.

So he should have predicted mediocrity. I'm sure is is familiar with it.

I suspect that the covid infection rate is higher than that of the flu. You people continue to equate it to the flu is dumbfounding.

Weird. Something new with virtually no resistance among the population spreads at a greater rate than viruses that populations have been exposed to for generations. You are a genius.

I think that once it gets rolled out to ordinary people, if half of the population is not dead it may be safe.
It might just happen to the elderly - they are taking a shot that givies them the virus - who is to say they wont die from those symptoms before it actually gives the immunity two days later ?

Well, the UK used their vaccine to immunize really old white people first and filmed it. The US used our vaccine to immunize young black people first and filmed it. I'm guessing it won't hurt either.
