I'm not faulting you or anyone else for buying in to the mask nonsense initially, as most people were unaware of the prior research on mask usage and (primarily influenza) viral transmission. However, we now have 9+ months of real-world data to analyze. How can anyone look at all the trends around the U.S. and world and say that masks are helping? Quite the contrary, most of this suggests that they may be actually making things worse. (Which is not terribly surprising, and many of us feared that from the early stages).

Uh.. the discussions were about whether Trump or Fauci was correct about vaccine predictions. Riveting and so very important discussions. Pointing out that Trump's prediction record isn't very reliable, is only to illustrate his prediction had no effect on the actual vaccine production, and amounts to a lucky guess.

Medical professionals tend to wear masks correctly. Average citizen does not thus increasing the chances of making themselves ill. That's how it's always been until now. Flip the question, how come they don't make you wear a mask when you go to the hospital during non Covid times?
