Comparatively, it was extremely rushed. Some have mentioned a link between Bell's Palsy appearing at a much higher rate in those that receive it. I also, just recently, got over COVID. So, as someone else mentioned, not needed. No reason to risk it.

mRNA vaccine has never been approved for human use. And the normal safety protocols have been modified to allow quick approval. So there's no long term side effect testing.

What normally takes years has been done in only a few months.

Eh... I get what you're saying and you're right, of course, but how many millions of people have flown this year while COVID-19 positive (albeit perhaps less demonstrably impacted than this guy)? This man was, unfortunately, screwed regardless of his location.

Fortunately a lot of people didn't get the more serious respiratory problems; shortness of breath was going to be the deciding factor on whether my wife went to the hospital or not. That didn't happen, but you just never know. I'm of the distinct impression that there's a lot we don't know regarding why some people get hit a lot worse than others.

I began reading the article out loud to my daughter and wife. After I read the first item, my daughter exclaimed here comes the "speech."
