Plenty of perfectly healthy young Healthcare workers with pretty much zero chance of getting the virus are in fact getting vaccinated right now over people who are actually vulnerable.

The vaccine should have gone to the elderly and vulnerable alone before anybody else.

Why? Because they are the ones dying from it. And I'm sure many of those young healthy essential workers have already gotten the virus, so we are just wasting it.

The CDC wants to vaccinate people 75 and up next AND "essential" Frontline workers such as teachers, grocery store workers, and emergency responders.

Why can we not solely focus on those with severe comorbidities and the elderly? It makes no sense and is actually happening. More people will die because of this stupidity.

I'm 26 and have no health problems. It would make NO SENSE for me to get a vaccine over ANYBODY older than I am let alone somebody over 75. Even if I were a hospital worker.

That would require people to admit they are wrong. That's a high bar. It will only happen in retrospect. It's like the idiots who ask you why you wear a mask when seeing patients. They think it's a Trump card. Yet they don't pause to think that you know how to wear one. And never have we asked patients to wear one.

I understand that...I live it every day. I also understand that a surgical mask does little to nothing to protect me from viruses. Even N95s have been shown to be only marginally-effective. If I wore an N95 + additional mask + goggles or face shield + gown, gloves, and sterilized my stethoscope, otoscope, etc between each patient? Maybe. But that's logistically impossible.

I'm recovering from a cold, felt tired and congested all weekend. Guess what? Mask didn't block $#!+. And I don't ever touch or adjust them in rooms or procedures.

Watch basketball or football. These idiots are constantly rubbing all over their faces. That's helping?? Please stop the insanity.

I don't think so. The left in particular and even plenty of moderates never equate government spending binges with any bad things like debt or inflation. When they do, they target the military and other items that they see as not benefitting them.

I asked because you posted as if a mask is supposed to protect the person wearing it. These days, that level of ignorance is weird for a layman. A doctor has to know better, but here you are a doctor, posting as if you do not know that. N95s? Yeah, I know those are supposed to protect the wearer, but they do not really seal tight enough for that. I have some kn95s, and it is obvious that they do not seal well enough to protect me very well. A mask is far more effective protecting other people from the person wearing it than it is at protecting the wearer from other people. For you to talk about your medical knowledge while posting as if you do not know that is inexplicably bizarre. Then you talk as if masks are useless because people touch their faces. As a doctor, why aren't you telling people not to touch their faces? Your attitude seems to be that people are too hopelessly stupid to do a simple thing like wear a mask without rubbing their hands all over everything and then all over their face. That is your reason to discourage people from wearing masks? Duh.

People touch their faces a lot, like hundreds or thousands times a day. That is why handwashing + other things are encouraged. One thing will not stop the spread, it is a combination of things. It has always been a combination of things.
