Not sure yet, waiting to see what happens with the cases outside of China first, in a few days we'll know what we need to know.

I think some of us are definitely concerned. I wasn’t worried when SARS was all over the news. I don’t worry about the flu. This one does stand out because of 50 million people being quarantined. With most of the experts saying that they think China is fudging numbers and not being truthful with their info, then we don’t really know what this is capable of, but it does seem like has the potential to be something very scary. We will have a pretty good idea in the next 2 to 4 weeks of whether or not to be worried about this.

Concerned and watchful... infectious growth modeling is running at a pretty accurate 53% daily increase in the number of infected. If this modeling pattern holds accurate, worldwide cases of infection will be around 100K on this Monday the 3rd and at around 10M infected worldwide by Valentines. Now, the majority of those will be in China, but again, that asymptomatic contagious period for virus spread is going to start showing in the numbers outside China over the next few weeks. More cases popping up outside of China that are at least 2nd level or beyond. The cases in Germany, none of them have been to China.

Bully for you. I tick off to many high risk boxes to not keep an eye out on it as this bug would kill me. It’s that unknown contagion factor that I’m watching, but I’m cautious by nature and avoid as much as possible being in situations where I might catch the flu as well.

I don't think this will cause an apocalypse. I think it very well could spread enough to create a panic response and end up temporarily affecting emergency services and possibly other essential services too.

If the US cases behind to multiply as quickly as we have seen in China then they will shut it down, if it does spread as quickly as it has in China it will be too late.

Hopefully for the worlds sake this is a China issue and nothing more.

They really need to quit eating the nastiest **** they can think of.

CCP...we’re going to quarantine our population and forbid them from travel within our country but it’s fine if they want to fly to yours.

The mortality rate is getting skewed. We don't know it yet, but as of right now it's actually greater than 50% because there are only something like 49 people that have actually beaten the virus that we know of. The rest are still hospitalized. It really depends on what happens to those in the hospital from the initial cases.

I don't disagree, but it's the only numbers we're allowed right now so it couldn't hurt to do the math until then.

132 deaths in 5974 cases is a 2.21% mortality rate. Taking that with a grain of salt the mortality rate has dropped.
