If you’re vaccinated the statistics say you’ve got a very slim chance of contracting it. VERY slim. And if you do you’re in a country well educated on how to deal with it. And due to your vaccination even if you do get it your risk of hospitalization is highly diminished. This is one case where you absolutely trust the science. Math.Hope you are right
Both decisions were correct. Businesses will no longer be under health dept scrutiny for arbitrary shut downs by government. Businesses will also not be able to segregate customers by vaccinated and unvaccinated. Are you so far in you can’t see how bad vaccine passports and businesses segregating customers according to vaccine status is?First time I saw it was with Desantis here in Florida about a month ago. One week he said that vaccine passports from the government intrude on the rights of business owners to determine what will or won't be required to come into the business. The very next week he signs an executive order banning business from requiring vaccinations to enter.
And the Trump wing of the GOP cheered him both times.
Makes it all the better when it's fixed. I dont think it was done to defeat him, but it was clear from the start the coverage was manipulated to make Trump look badIf the pandemic was exaggerated to try to defeat Trump, and I believe he would still be president if it weren’t for Covid.
Why keep the exaggerated fear going, doesn’t that just hurt the current administration?
There is a test post vaccination to determine if the vaccine worked. They couldn’t perform it on my physical because I wasn’t vaccinated. Yet I don’t hear testing is required for the general public post vaccination to test the efficacy of the vaccine. So they 'assumed' that anyone that got vaccinated has antibodies. What if they didn't develop them?
Ask and ye shall receive……There are always two sides to the story...
While employee was certainly wrong, I'd like to know what provoked that exchange.

Indian=Delta.What happened to the India/south Africa/italian variants?
No one should worry until there is actual data to worry about.
Do you believe the government can regulate lawyer billing rates?Wow. Do you not see the inherent contradiction between those two positions?
One is government can't tell businesses what to do.
The next is government can tell businesses what to do.
Thanks I was not aware it was less racist to target the Greeks over other nations.Indian=Delta.
They’ve seen the error of their racist naming ways and moved to this alpha beta stuff. They’ve also learned that articles saying any new variant is “of concern” really pumps the fear porn. Then they bury the pesky problem of the vaccines being 90% effective against variants down towards the end so maybe you skip over it.
No way. Im in north west GA and we were down the month of April and by mid to late June were back in businessHuh?
There was a period of about 6 months where everything was completely closed except grocery stores and you couldn't go in without a lot of precautions. We were like everyone else. Desantis has successfully spun this national yarn that we were somehow way ahead of the curve on being open, or re-opening, and its not really accurate.
And ironically, when the dust settles, his real claim to fame on it all is going to end up being that he was just waaaay out front pushing people to get vaccinated, opening channels for it, pushing for lowering age limits, etc. Which as I say ironically validates the concept of both the virus threat and the vaccination response.
At the time I made this post a few days ago, I didn't realize that there was a movement to make it a holiday. I was waiting to see if the same fervor about Juneteenth would happen this year like it did last year.Just as a comparison, there was a big stir made last year during the riots about "Juneteenth". I bet 85-90 out of 100 would have had no idea what that was.
Freaking India is one of the more diverse places on earth, but ignorant leftists that have hardly left the country or seen anything of consequence think naming something after that country is racist. It's goofy.Countries are not synonymous with race. They represent an area on the map or put another way, a geography. Changing the way we name these variants is still another example of how the political correct movement has succeeded in changing our language. Personally when I hear about a variant, the first thing I want to know is where it came from so I can begin to discern if it's a threat to me or not. This Greek naming stuff takes that away
The reason business owners were so upset was their license was being held hostage if they didn’t follow the health dept rules of doing business in covid. They face fines and even revoking of said license if they didn’t follow every rule laid out, down to arbitrary numbers of guests they were allowed to have. Born from that debacle of mandatory business covid requirements was the choice of business owners being allowed to assume or ask health status of people that wanted to use their business post-vaccination. This narrative was also pushed by the government health departments. Vaxxed vs unvaxxed debate.Wow. Do you not see the inherent contradiction between those two positions?

Well said. Harumph.Do you believe the government can regulate lawyer billing rates?
Do you believe the government can set regulations on the oil and gas industry?
I am guessing no on the first but yes on the second.
To which I will say "Wow. Do you not see the inherent contradiction between those two positions?
One is government can't tell businesses what to do.
The next is government can tell businesses what to do"
There is maybe one anarchist on this board. The vast majority of even the right wing admit there is a role for government. The distinction is where that line gets drawn. So it's not a contradiction at all to say one measure is a step to far over the other.
