Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Heard on radio this morning that 99 percent of the people who died from covid in the US last week had not been vaccinated.

It's almost as if the 90% plus efficacy of the vaccines is rooted in science or something. Thanks for the groundbreaking news though.
Joe’s crushing it.

Point is, even if you want to contend that the vaccine is not 100 percent effective in preventing infection entirely, the evidence seems incontrovertible that it minimizes the severity even if you do get covid.

Who is saying the vaccine is not effective in prevention or reduction of severity if you do get covid after vaccinated?

I alternatively hear from Trump loyalists some combination of: It was never that big of a deal to begin with; Only old and sick people died (and they were going to die anyway); the numbers were inexact and exaggerated to make Trump look bad; Yay Trump for expediting the vaccine; Booo Biden for encouraging people to take the vaccine that yay Trump moved along; The vaccine is not needed; The vaccine is not tested sufficiently.

I have no dispute that the vaccine probably saves a lot of people that are in the higher risk group, but do you have a breakdown of the age group and comorbidities of the people that died from covid that weren't vaccinated? Just saying that grandma didn't die is no reason for a 12 year old to take it.

So now you're just blathering. Someone, somewhere said something and now I'm going to use that to make misstatements myself. Awesome.

Mostly old people did die, btw. Really old and really alot. It wasnt a big deal for the overwhelming majority of younger, healthier people.

And the vaccines prevent it and also diminish its severity if you do still get it. This from a non-vaccinated person. So what is your beef again?

How many of those not vaccinated already had Covid previously?

Not being argumentative. Just wondering because no one is really talking about how people that already had Covid are faring.

Spot on... except for the inclusion that it has anything to do with Trump.

My guess is they are faring similarly to the vaccinated. That headline is not cool though.

And not one single of those is the point you just made: vaccine doesnt work.

Congrats on admitting you make crap up.

And 98% of people who get Covid won't die from it.

I think people should get vaccinated but not doing so isn't some death sentence or anything close to it.

Your odds of not dying from Covid are better if vaccinated but your odds even if not vaccinated are pretty good.

Weak point given that's not a point anyone is making. Congrats on owning your other personality?
