Not sure where you are getting your numbers,they stopped reporting Covid deaths in Duval County the beginning of June because our Governor implemented phase 2 and they would no longer share the data.

A number of school districts are defying him, to one degree or another. They are calling his bluff... will he really cut funds to schools over this? Seems unlikely.

He’s a fool if he comes down hard on school districts implementing the mask policy. But also from what I’ve read none are mandating them they are just defaulting to masks required unless the parent opts out. Frankly that’s not unreasonable.

I’m trying to pull it on my phone, I looked it up at work on the computer. There were daily deaths reported for a week and a half in late July.

My son’s daycare and preschool has been shut down for all of two weeks since last March, not one single case of a kid contracting it and less than a handful of teachers; two of which were both teachers in my son’s class.

I hope she’s ok and gets everything worked out. It sucks that kids are having to go through this BS. My 13 year old is in isolation and can’t go to school and will miss several volleyball games because a girl in one of her classes tested positive. She didn’t speak to her and sits behind her diagonally. Meanwhile, the girl who tested positive has been out with friends that go to the same school, but they’re not quarantined….the school said they can’t do anything about what happens outside of school. This kind of contact tracing is a bunch of dumb S

But Duval is only for the first thirty days and if the kid takes it off, teachers can't ask them to put it on so it's honestly a farce of a "mandate"
