If you’ve got the facts on your side, pound the facts.A kid gets sick and gets over it and I’m supposed to freak out? My kid has had RSV twice in his 4 years, which is more deadly for children than Covid, and I didn’t panic. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to measure risk in if not death.
This is an irresponsible and ignorant take, just in case anyone paying attention isn’t an expert in viruses or vaccines.
I never heard anyone here advocate for the flu shot being classified as a therapeutic rather than a vaccine before the politicization process of covid. Wonder why? I know it isn’t because the definition of vaccine is amorphous.
If you’ve got the facts on your side, pound the facts.
If you’ve got the law on your side, pound the law.
If you’ve got nothing, pound the table.
lg is just pounding the table.
LG is one of the dumbest posters on this board. He re is proof. Say you are a legal gun owner whom has never had any issues with the law. Someone breaks into your home and steals your firearm. Then that criminal commits a felony with your stolen firearm. In LGs world, you, the legal gun owner, should be held accountable for that crime.
So then you are good with people bringing guns anywhere they want so they don't leave them in their car. I agree. That's an oversimplification of my thoughts on the issue. I'd like to incentivize people to be careful and responsible about their firerams. If you leave a glock in your car's console and it is stolen I think that's pretty horrendous and deserves some level of responsibility for what it is used for later. If an owner has it in a gun safe and it is stolen that's a lot less culpable. There are many levels in between.
A continuum, if you will…That's an oversimplification of my thoughts on the issue. I'd like to incentivize people to be careful and responsible about their firerams. So, to you, it’s more acceptable where the firearm was stolen than the actual fact that it was stolen? It can still do the same damage wherever it was stolen from. lolThat's an oversimplification of my thoughts on the issue. I hope she’s ok and gets everything worked out. It sucks that kids are having to go through this BS. My 13 year old is in isolation and can’t go to school and will miss several volleyball games because a girl in one of her classes tested positive. She didn’t speak to her and sits behind her diagonally. Meanwhile, the girl who tested positive has been out with friends that go to the same school, but they’re not quarantined….the school said they can’t do anything about what happens outside of school. This kind of contact tracing is a bunch of dumb S

I would love to hear where you are going with this. The damage done to children by unnecessary school closures, sports cancellation, social isolation, fear, and malnutrition outweighs the actual risk from CV19 by an immeasurable magnitude. You measure the risk only by deaths? What is wrong with you?
What do you believe is causing it this late (or early depending on how you look at it) in the year? It was going around pretty good at our daycare at the time we took him in. I’m sure it was compounded some in his schools case due to it popping up in our hottest part of summer and the kids being confined to inside. I don’t know the exact temperature they use but I’d say above about 90 the teachers don’t take them to the playground or recess, it’s not only they stay inside, they cram 2-3 classes together in a room for movies.Good to hear. I've hospitalized at least 5-6 babies this summer with it, and I can't ever remember diagnosing a case beyond April in 17+ years.
The restrictions over the past year prevented much of the "normal" spread of viruses and the ensuing protective antibody production in the <2 y/o age group. Viruses don't disappear. What do you believe is causing it this late (or early depending on how you look at it) in the year? It was going around pretty good at our daycare at the time we took him in. You’re correct…because my daughter was near her at school… she’s quarantined, but the girls she’s been seen and photographed with outside of school…. Are free to attend school and participate in sports. It’s complete horse sh**Just to make sure I understand this correctly -- the administration is aware that some of the school's students have been socializing with another student with an active case of covid, and yet those students are allowed to attend school and are being seated next to other students? The two private schools with which I'm associated would have put those students in quarantine immediately.
That’s tough as a parent man. I sincerely hope your daughter is ok.I am worried about my daughter. She's ten. Over the last several months she's become apprehensive. To the point where at brunch yesterday she wouldn't tell the server what she wanted to eat, I asked her after a long silence is everything ok, and she burst into tears. I have never seen her like this. After she calmed down she told us she got too nervous to talk. Earlier that day we had the convo with her that she had to go back to wearing masks in school on Monday. We are signing her up for someone to talk to. Not good.
