Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I sat across a conference table (about 3 feet) on Thursday and half a day friday from a friend who has covid. He has symptoms and a positive test. Neither he nor I wore masks. He didn't talk much. I washed my hands frequently. I do not have any symptoms.

So far: SIL tested positive for antibodies without symptoms while living in my home, son had covid with symptoms, and my friend in close proximity in a conference room. I wonder if I am just lucky or if something else is in play.

there is a key
Just think we would know by now

He had no symptoms but was admitted and given the monoclonal antibody treatment which is usually reserved for immunocompromised and people at serious risk. Since he's been an opponent of mask mandates you'd expect him to demonstrate there's noting to fear about getting covid.
He wasn’t admitted to anywhere but the Governor Mansion. Rough life.

I guess the hospital came to him then. I had an ultrasound a few weeks ago and had to go through admitting and get the wrist band and all. It just seems a little hypocritical for him to get the antibody treatment without even being symptomatic after just asking hospitals to delay non essential procedures on covid patients.

Gov. Greg Abbott asks Texas hospitals to delay nonessential procedures as COVID-19 patients strain capacity

I know you’re going to be shocked to hear this but our elite tier politicians have health care options not available to you and me.

And he probably did whatever his doctors told him to do.

Your 3rd article down cracks me up. It’s funny how the 15 minutes of close exposure was lost in all of the panic wi the the original virus. I even remember posting about that on this site and having some (seems like Sep was one) say it wasn’t true. It was always true with the original virus but yet we had stupid rules like wearing a mask walking to a table at a restaurant only to be taken off while seated.

What's your blood type? I'm becoming convinced that it makes a significant difference.

Have you had C19? If so then you had/have natural immunity

Interesting. The articles are google-able?

I'll try to find some. I read them months ago. The argument may not hold up anymore.

I just know that I've had several close contacts and so far nothing. I'm O+. My brother-in-law got it and my O+ sister never did.

Sounds a lot like my daughter. She rode in a car with someone for hours who tested positive a day later. Her hubby has antibodies and his whole family had it. She has yet to contract it.
