Dude was 88 years old with a multitude of health issues. I don’t blame him for retiring but it was kind of stupid for him to be in the classroom in the first place.Freedumb!
I'm sure her classmates totally love her and her exercise of freedumb.
UGA professor resigns mid-class after student refuses to wear mask
They the POTUS administration and the media, in particular.Who is they? Some in government? Because there are others in government doing the opposite. “They “ is hardly a consensus
I guess we’re looking from different points on the board.
There’s definitely a group that’s vaccine only and they’re every bit as wrong as the anti vaccine people. I’ve confronted them all n this very thread.

“At that point I said that whereas I had risked my life to defend my country while in the Air Force, I was not willing to risk my life to teach a class with an unmasked student during this Pandemic,” Bernstein said in an email to The Red & Black. “I then resigned my retiree-rehire position.”
That’s a pretty stupid hot take cat turd. Overly Karen professor gets triggered at student and quits would be a more descriptive tag line.
You’re really not helping the situation. He ended his career like a dumbassThere's nothing Karen about trying to stay alive. At 88, the professor was doing a service for the University to fill in a needed class position. You see how little you put up with at 88.
"The 88-year-old psychology professor explained to the student that he could die from COVID-19 due to underlying health conditions such as Type 2 diabetes, hypertension and age-related problems, Bernstein said in an email to The Red & Black."
The science is out. Masks are ineffective (I didn't say useless, just ineffective) and the vaccinated can spread it.There's nothing Karen about trying to stay alive. At 88, the professor was doing a service for the University to fill in a needed class position. You see how little you put up with at 88.

So no. He was in a classroom teaching. He was a drama Queen and acted in an unprofessional fashion and forced a needless response by the university to accommodate his unprofessional actions. If he was that fragile he shouldn’t have been in that classroom in the first place. If she was in violation of a university policy and thus subject to punitive action then just do it and move on. But we don’t need to heard about his brave self martyring on social media. He had already ended his career previously At this point, he was adjunct level and likely only teaching that class to make sure kids could graduate.
Expect to see more of this from older contingent faculty as students dig in their heels and make a fuss. Little Miss Can't Mask should have been registered with campus health and the teacher should have received notification that this student had a waiver or alternative seating requirement.
Correct, because the masked and the vaccinated can still spread it.So no. He was in a classroom teaching. Then don’t teach. Not rocket scienceThere's nothing Karen about trying to stay alive. At 88, the professor was doing a service for the University to fill in a needed class position. You see how little you put up with at 88.
