Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

So it's okay to strip some of their "freedom" but not yours? I am okay with people not getting the shot but if they get sick and go to the hospital with covid they should be the first sent packing when an unavoidable medical emergency needs an ICU bed.
You don’t understand how healthcare works

Two quotes from the article:
It is rare for people who are fully vaccinated to contract COVID-19, but it does happen.

That, too, is a slight exaggeration, although hospitalizations and deaths among vaccinated people are extremely rare.

Biden shouldn't have said "you want get it." He should have said "it is extremely rare".
I’m aware he tried to walk it back after the town hall but during the town hall he flat out said you will not get COVID.

What freedom is being taken away? They have choice. People forcing the vaccine are taking freedom away. Your thinking is backwards.

Talk about an oversimplification. It’s funny you can call it out but do it yourself all the time. As I mentioned previously in this thread, a lot of hospitals are short nurses and other medical workers. Many aren’t there because they didn’t want to get the vaccine and their employer forced them out. So that could easily be argues isn’t because of the unvaccinated. They didn’t make that arbitrary rule. You just throw out a blanket accusation without knowing squat about how many patients were in the hospital normally vs how many are in there now and how many are unvaccinated people that wouldn’t have been there otherwise. CNN lies and you eat it up.
What a load of bs.

She was in VUMC - funny that they are requiring all of their employees to be fully vaccinated by Sep.30th, seeing as how it is a non-issue and all. It's probably just that the morons at VUMC are watching to much CNN.

So where in all that bs you linked will I find exact numbers that provide proof of what you claim, that unvaccinated patients are THE reason your mom got worse care?

Where have you been that you were forced to get a flu vaccine?

And these vaccines look to be about as effective as the flu vaccine. They are only better than nothing if you need one, and if you are at risk, you should take it. Children certainly do not need it. Natural immunity is always best.

Fun facts:

If you the get the vaccine, and it prevents you from getting infected: win

If you get the vaccine, and get a break-through infection, it won't be as severe and you'll get the extra immunity boost: win

If you don't get the vaccine and you somehow avoid getting infected in a covid cesspool like Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi, Florida, etc., you got lucky. Good for you, but many other are not so lucky.

If you don't get vaxxed and you get infected, it will probably be more severe and you'll be left with less immunity than if you had got infected and then had a breakthrough case.

Seems like getting the vaccine is always in your interest unless you're betting on getting lucky, which doesn't seem very rational.

You did good until the first item I highlighted. That is false. Your body will not forget that strain of virus, with or without the vaccine. If you have been previously infected then you do not need to get the vaccine. However, if a strain comes along here in 3 years or so that is so vastly different that you body doesn't recognize it then you can get that strain, vax or no vax.

The second item I highlighted is being way over blown. If you are young and HEALTHY, then you will be fine. Look at the stats. Or, in my case, I am relatively young and have had an auto immune issue in the past (been exposed to COVID too). The vaccine isn't a good idea for me personally.

LIVE UPDATES: COVID-19 cases being treated at NGHS continue to climb, with most being unvaccinated

Update from my neck of the woods - and GA as a whole.
Jan. 1 through Aug. 10

COVID cases
Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated: 505,104 (97.4%)

Fully vaccinated: 13,322 (2.6%)

COVID deaths
Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated: 6,391 (98.4%)

Fully vaccinated: 105 (1.6%)
Chart: The Times Source: Department of Public Health Get the data Created with Datawrapper

In the NGHS (North GA Healthcare System), 100% of COVID patients currently in critical care are unvaccinated.

Wife and I are both vaccinated on June 11th. Wife was feeling sick and we both got tested. She is positive and I’m negative.

Right now we both have stuffy noses.

This whole thing is dumb. There is no way to know if the vaccine worked, if the tests worked, and if the symptoms are real. Everything with my experience right now is very inconsistent.
