Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I know several Drs that already are.
Why should they continue to treat people who are refusing to be treated?
As far as slime ball administration…..I hope they exist. If I’m in a car wreck tomorrow that puts me in the need of an ICU bed I’d like to think that treatment will be available and not clogged up by ****tards that are clogging up the system

So the hospital admins that are running off HC providers bear no responsibility?

Interesting info on this subect...apparently Senate Bill 858, and corresponding House Bill 575, prohibit state and local governments from mandating that private businesses in the state require proof of COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of entering or utilizing such business.

Senate Bill 320, and corresponding House Bill 794, would make it a discriminatory practice to deny an individual equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, and accommodations of a place of public accommodation, resort, or amusement based on whether an individual has received medical treatment. The Bills also prohibit a political subdivision from enacting or enforcing a policy that would allow for discrimination based on whether an individual has received a medical treatment. A medical treatment is defined as an immunization with the intended purpose of treating or preventing a medical condition, sickness, disease, or communicable disease.
Also a pending bill will make them liable to a civil suits.

50-state Update on Pending Legislation Pertaining to Employer-mandated Vaccinations

This is pending legislation in TN from your link. We all should vehemently oppose these bills and let our state reps know passage of any of these would lose our votes.

Senate Bill 564 would create a civil cause of action for discrimination based on whether an individual has or has not received a COVID-19 vaccine or has opted not to receive the vaccine. Prohibited discrimination includes a direct or indirect act or practice of (i) exclusion, (ii) distinction, (iii) restriction, (iv) segregation, (v) limitation, (iv) refusal, (v) denial, (vi) differentiation, or (vii) preference. The Bill would impose a $1,000 fine for the first act of discrimination, a $10,000 fine for the second act of discrimination, and a $750,000 fine for a third or subsequent act of discrimination. On April 13, 2021, the Bill was deferred in the Senate Judiciary Committee until January 13, 2022.

Senate Bill 1308 would prohibit employers and state and local governments from requiring employees to receive a COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of maintaining employment. The Bill further prohibits employers and government entities from taking adverse actions against employees for refusing to receive the vaccine. On March 30, 2021, the Bill was assigned to the General Subcommittee of the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee.

Both Bills were deferred until the 2022 legislative session.

That's a tad bit oversimplified.
Read the article again (or maybe for the first time).
But yes, some reasons for resisting the vaccine are far more palatable than others.
Or maybe I don’t care why anyone refuses the vaccines. Whether they are black or white or anything. It’s their personal choice

Off topic but…..would you have a problem with a non state funded hospital saying that “it’s their policy that everyone should be vaccinated. And if you’re unvaccinated you are operating AMA. As such they will not be treating unvaccinated patients”?
Yea because that violates EMTALA. They can’t do that for emergency services

You’ve operated AMA they are free of that oath. And as a for profit hospital they don’t have to admit people who can’t pay or that violate their rules.
Think of it this way. Memorial hospital in chattanooga doesn’t have to see you. Earlanger down the street does. If you don’t want to follow memorials rules you can take your chances at Earlanger. Of course memorial will have ICU beds available for things other than Covid.
Memorial does have to see you for emergency services

I could write a book with all the crazy ish we saw at the Med in Memphis. One guy was sitting on a window, headbanging to Metallica and bouncing a loaded rifle on the ground. It discharged and shot through his chin, the bullet passing behind his face and exiting the top of his head. It didn't damage any vital portions of the brain, but I'm not sure there were any parts that weren't already fried.
You haven’t lived until you find a snack cake ding dong stuffed in a panus.

You can always tell the posts from people who have never worked at a hospital especially one with Level 1 Trauma status. They have no idea 😂

I think we all got COVID in my house. The nanny's Mom has it and the nanny has symptoms. 3 YO is asymptomatic. 7-month baby got it first in our group and has had cold symptoms but was clearly on the mend by day 3. My wife (she's getting tested today) has cold symptoms and I feel like I have minor allergies.
