Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I thought one of the therapeutic pills had like a 90% effectivity rate. How are 2000 people a day still dying in the US?
I’m pretty sure to be effective you have to start taking them early on in the course of infection. Most of these people dying in the hospital are older or obese people who only get to the hospital after they are struggling to breath with pneumonia and by then it’s too late for any therapeutics. Nobody excepts to be the small unlucky percent of people who gets the full blown pneumonia. Who’s gonna go get the covid antivirals or ivermectin every time you get the sniffles?

If you’re old and or obese, why should we not be starting you on a therapeutic after diagnosis?

Truthfully, if you’re old and/or obese, you should really consider the vaccine/booster recommendations. That would take care of a lot. And if you’re in a high risk group and unvaccinated, you should seek medical care earlier and not be so bone headed about “Covid isn’t real.”

Yeah they should be. But I’ve seen a couple Facebook posts of people my parents know in the hospital just this week. “Uncle Timmy just got admitted to the hospital turns out it’s covid pneumonia, he’d been sick for the past week or so etc.” most people just don’t go the doctor every time they get a cold. Then it gets worse and turns out it’s covid. Also I don’t think the anti virals are even in common use yet.

Vaccinated or not, if you’re 75, why would you not start a therapeutic?

No doubt. I’ve seen this in person.

Definitely. The only people I’ve known who have died of covid were obese and unvaccinated.

It’s kinda the point….the guy taking a victory lap for the distribution of vaccines made the exact mistake he criticized with the Covid pills. There’s huge demand, limited supply and terrible logistics for a resource that’s been available for 2 months. Is there a model for lives that could’ve been saved if Paxlovid was widely available during Omicron with 90% effectiveness??

It’s like this Presbyterian church in Powell. One of their ministers is a board member of KCS Pass, which is a far left activist group that was gathering photos of teachers and students in schools to get them in trouble with KCS and the judge that issued the mask mandate. This church’s mission statement regarding racism is crazy. These are not God’s people.
Powell Presbyterian Church – Powell, TN

Another example of how the silent majority of conservatives allowed evil leftist filth to takeover local governments.

Gloves not required to ride
Goggles not required to ride
Jacket not required to ride
Cap not required to ride

Why is he conflating those with a mask mandate to ride? Weird.
Well, other than those little details, it's still a perfect tweet.

Actually, after rereading it, I've decided it's THE most perfectest tweet of all time. Brilliant!
