The opposition is much stronger than most people understand. The bitch of this whole thing is that so many of the people we SHOULD actually be listening to are afraid to speak out because of corporate/practice/hospital system pressure. This is exactly why I've never even considered selling out to big business. Several local providers have had enough and decided that they will step up to the plate.

When the mask mandates in KCS are soon gone, the hand full of parents who started all this need to suffer consequences for all $ and grief that they have caused.

Absolutely. There needs to be retaliation. Those advocates involved in this should never be able to show their faces in Knox County again. They should have their pictures placed on every entry to every establishment here.

I hope someone finds a way to get the swim coach fired. He and his wife have done this community too much harm to allow him to stay employed.

I can personally attest as to the negative physical and psychological masks on kids. It’s been very harmful. I will say that not every kid seems to have issues, but way too many are having issues and that’s been ignored.

I can as well. It's been hell on my hard of hearing daughter (which is where the headphone/mic idea came from, that's how she survives whether masks are used or not).

I'm just revenge averse.

UT’s. Matt Kredich. He and his wife are buddies with the lawyers that brought the suit and the wife has been involved with the lawsuit on the sidelines acting like they just randomly call her for advice because she’s an expert on things. She’s been involved in previous lawsuits against KCS as well.

Revenge is not justice. Revenge is visceral, lizard-brain reaction. Feels good for a while, but that good feeling requires replenishing. A new target for revenge later.

I speak from experience. I work through these feelings regularly. Hurt people hurt people.

The higher order reaction with a much longer lasting effect comes through policy and polity. Slow down, let the adrenaline pass, and find a way forward that protects the rights and opportunities of the abled and compromised equally.

They would never go for that, then you could identify who the disabled is. Sounds to me like the kid needs to be homeschooled, looking at studies about this condition breathing or even pictures of people eating can cause episodes.

My daughter doesn't have the choice of not being identified. Sometimes, it's just not possible.

But in this case, I'm going to agree with you. All of my knowledge and experience points towards it being unreasonable to make this accommodation, and impossible to implement in a way that preserves the least restrictive environment for all students including the one with the disorder.

We will never be able to get justice. They have hurt thousands of children with their actions and they are fully aware of it. We can’t even get the judge in trouble despite the fact his injunction is clearly illegal according to several US laws (especially the reasonable accomadation of the ADA and what it details as reasonable). Everyone is going to walk away from this free to do it again unless they are called out publicly every place they go.

Most of what Paul said is applicable to everyday situations. If we are to discard it, then it shouldn’t be part of the New Testamemt.
