Funny how in one week CV has become the butt of jokes. Good times.

I've actually had a bit of a chuckle seeing what some people look like without masks in the office. A disproportionate number of younger parents have been more adherent to CDC guidelines until recently. It's weird when you see them for the first time and they don't look anything like what you imagine.

Exactly how did this happen? It happened so fast I cannot even make sense of it. I know a few people who were terrified of COVID and maskless people just suddenly walk away from it.

Was it as simple as the CDC change in metric thresholds? Seeing Biden and the Congress maskless? Did the media stop fear porn? What happened??

My parents went out to eat for the first time in two years.

It's quite amazing how so many people trust the MSM with how they should live their lives.

I haven't worn a mask in a year, and my practice is cruising with no restrictions at all. We might be the only business around that is thriving at pre-COVID capacity.

My uncle said the same thing about NASA. Things that take an hour in private industry took weeks from NaSA with all the red tape and layers involved.

It's funny... the Federal mask mandate has been significantly relaxed, but the DoD continues the charge by requiring masks on installations...

Except the Pentagon. So, the military leaders are doing their own version of "good for thee, not for me" with this idiot masking.

Delta came from India. Omicron came from South Africa. Neither cared much about the vaccine, and even the highly vaccinated states saw plenty of cases despite being so protected.

I'll be glad when these people crawl back into their caves only to emerge once a year to crow about the flu shot.

I have never been so collectively embarrassed about my profession as I have through this ordeal. It seems that 3/4 of the medical professionals either weren't as smart as we thought they were or they were so scared that they forgot everything they already knew and bought into whatever flavor of the week that Fauci and the CDC were selling.

Literally none of the recent findings or developments are new or surprising. We've known the efficacy of masks for decades, we know how respiratory viruses mutate, we understand herd immunity, and locking everyone in their homes, closing schools, and shuttering businesses have never been used as effective means to control a virus.

The only thing new, really, is that we are hearing more and more about these super safe and effective mRNA shots maybe not being either of those.

Judge Greer denied the lawsuit brought against the people causing the mask issues in Knox County because of a technicality. They can re-file. No end in sight to this garbage.

I think this was one last final attempt to drag this out and stick it to KCS. If the plaintiffs in the counter suit provide verified complaints that are solid, there’s not much that can be argued against them. I think there’s a silver lining here.

These people, this judge, and an at best complacent KCS have had our kids live this idiocy for another school year. You could never restore my faith in this school system.

Living in Gray, in Washington Co, I havent followed the mask battle in KCS. I was reading about it today and it is hard to believe that is happening in Knoxville, and not in northern California. Judge Ronnie Greer should be ashamed of himself, what a piece of work. I hope for the sake of the students this can be resolved quickly.

For the record, Washington Co schools haven't required masks since early 2021 and presently have almost no cases of covid. I don't see how Knox County could be that much different.

They were doing this anyway. All the joes and NCOs were forced to wear masks, regardless if you were alone and outside, while the officers and SNCO’s never wore a mask inside their meetings.
