I don’t like either side of this fight, but I swear, my offer to the plaintiffs for settlement would be, we will give you $0 to drop the case. In exchange you will be guaranteed you only owe your attorneys 145k. Don’t take the offer, keep running those bills up with your attorneys.

I just read a synopsis of what transpired at yesterdays mediation, and the panel of judges was announced for the appeal process in Cincinnati. It would not have gone in our favor most likely. That’s why the board decided to pay, because initially the majority was completely against paying.

I’m sure this battle isn’t over, just settled for now.

I guess this where I am lost and have always been lost on the actual legal part of this. Surrounded by counties with no mask mandates I don’t know how and have never understood forcing such a small population to live under a mandate that no one else is living under.

Nonetheless, I would probably be ok with rolling the dice and seeing if the plaintiffs wanted to risk piling on more legal fees.

I don’t think the plaintiffs were ever going to be forced to pay. They were simply willing participants. They aren’t the ones that sought out the lawsuit. The whole thing was created by Clinton’s pals. They would have secretly funded the lawyers.

I’m honestly wondering if some of the plaintiffs wanted to drop it a long time ago but couldn’t because they would have been on the hook for legal expenses. That lead lawyer from Chattanooga is the scum of the earth.

I can only hope history books will record the mask mandates of 2020-2022 as, "unlawful CDC mandates".

But I think we all know there's no way that happens.

My youngest daughter is an FA for American Airlines. She worked her first flight in two years without a mask last night. She was ecstatic as were her passengers!!

Courts have thrown out mask mandates as illegal in NY state, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Wisconsin, Arkansas and OSHA. Should anyone be surprised that this one was thrown out as well? To be fair mask mandate bans by state gov't (Texas and Florida) have also been declared illegal. Gov't cannot impose or ban masks on people. God bless America

My FA daughter has been telling me for a whole year that most of the difficulties in flight with her passengers centered around mask/no mask issues

If folks are worried about catching a bug they are free to wear masks but gov't can no longer force this upon you
