Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Still unsafe to enter the US untested until Sunday though.
A guy at work just came back from Europe, he saw someone he knew at the airport who popped positive and was trying to arrange an unscheduled 10 day extended vacation in Belgium. Sounds fun and definitely something I’d like to risk taking my kids overseas.

Went and saw Jurassic Park at the IMAX yesterday, people in front of us were wearing masks and ONE vinyl glove to pick up their 3D glasses
The glove thing makes me laugh because the nerds wearing them are almost always touching everything, then their face, then their mask, on and on and on.

That's what cracked me up, they basically put those glasses in a dishwasher type thing after every show to clean them, and these goons touched at least a dozen pairs holding them up looking for smeared lenses. Then they went from their super safe glove straight onto their face. I'd like to see these people around electricity, their patchwork understanding of safety would get them killed in about two minutes.

NEW STUDY: US Mortality Rate 26% Higher
Than Pre-Pandemic Levels for Working-Age Adults

Since the start of the pandemic, the death rate from all causes for younger adults has risen by a percentage larger than that of the death rate from all causes for the elderly.

“All of this suggests that large and sustained changes in living habits designed to avoid a single virus had not only ‘economic’ opportunity costs, but also cost a shockingly large number of young lives. At the monetary value of a statistical life used in government cost-benefit analysis, the non-Covid excess deaths amount to a loss of well over $1 trillion.”
