Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I did not get a shot, as I was infected early on and trusted in natural immunity over experimental shots. I've tested positive twice since, with very minor cold symptoms. Almost as if my complex immune system works exactly as intended.

Anecdotally, the most symptomatic people I have encountered with the new strain have taken the shots and have not had prior infections.

For perspective: I've probably cared for or discussed with parents around 1,500 patients with CV19. I haven't really used Google, so I'm just a rookie.

You also still don't have your sense of smell and I imagine you're not the best taste tester these days either. This gal is happy to report that she doesn't have any symptoms. I'm sure she's glad she has her sense of smell and if the vaccines contributed towards that then they were worthwhile

Not unless you've tested religiously for the last couple of years
Done an anti body test within the last week?not sure how else you could think to say this.
Always been negative.....NEXT

@Vjcvette here is where you were asked two different questions. How often you test, if it was religiously for years. You replied with an affirmative response. Not a clarifying one or one that offered additional details.

I asked a clarifying question about the testing, which you responded with the exact same affirmative.

How else are we supposed to take that exchange but that you have been taking both tests religiously for years?

I said that I tested negative, never said how often or how many.....quit making false statements, learn how to debate consistantly
and factually.

Did I say you told me to do anything in that post ?

You stated this:

just don’t try to convince people that taking a brand new vaccine that had zero feedback results is “ Safe “ per the … blah blah blah

She didn't try to convince you that it's safe. She merely gave her experience

Did I ever say how many times that I have been tested NO, did I ever say how often NO

Then there's no way to be 100% positive you never had it. That was kinda the whole point

OK, no one tests every day unless you're Joe Biden, so OK, none of us knows for certain if we've ever been infected. But it's pretty significant that she's never tested positive, nor has she felt sick since this thing started. If you're just hanging onto this "there's no way to be 100% positive you never had it" then you're doing nothing more than playing the gotcha game

She made the claim of never having covid and I was responding to that. I've never had it either even though I'm around lots of people, have traveled and haven't masked it a very long time.

Anyone bragging any their Vax status or mask usage and how it protected them should be able to back up that claim. This isn't about a gotcha, it's about the science

Just showing people how you think
If you meant how I type, you would be correct. Plenty of errors all over this message board. Sorry that my syntax and punctuation doesnt qualify me for a pulitzer. But I have always considered messages boards more of an informal form of communication rather than a place of rigid formality.

If you are going to hurl false statements and insults at people and use negative adjectives (dumb) to describe the way that
a person thinks, be ready for the reply.

PJ pointed out that the only way your statement of never having Covid is possibly true is if you tested religiously for years. You responded with an affirmative that you never had Covid. Not that you never tested positive for Covid. You responded with an affirmative, implying that you tested enough to know that you never had a disease that most people didnt know they had it. Just like me. When I tested positive I didnt have any symptoms.

Instead of clarifying your original post, or providing additional information that would have cleared things up without becoming confrontational you still refuse to provide any real answers to the original statements and questions.

How can you say you never had Covid? Do you test often enough to know you never had it in any two week period? Have you tested your antibodies within the last week? How do you know you never had Covid?

I made an original statement that I was fully vaccinated, and had never had covid and had never missed work and I was happy with my results.....live with what I said or get over it..

Since we've all moved on, I'm sure we all know that our tax dollars were just used to purchase 100 million shots for what will be the wrong strain by the time they are made available.
There is a saying that the next war is fought with the last war's tactics. We seem to be attempting to fight current strains of covid with vaccines from five wars ago. If you went to the doctor for a foot problem and he suggested blood letting or some leech therapy you might have second thoughts. Even the most fervent of the shot lovers understand that the current vaccine cannot possibly do anything to protect you. It's the medical equivalent of a blanky or rabbit's foot.

Where did I say you thought you were better for being vaxxed? I made a general statement that for some reason you decided to take personally. As I have shown I have no problem @'ing people when needed. If you care to search further you will see I have no problem calling people dumb making specific statements. The ukraine thread has some good examples.

I made a general statement that is just as true as your statement. You never claimed to be better because of your vax so I am not sure how you would assume my statement only applied to you.

Ok you are going in circles, I don't go in circles.....Have a nice day

Truth be told, I'm quite happy with not being able to smell puke, poop, and teenager feet and BO all day. I would never trade my sense of smell back for the uncertainty of long term (or short term) adverse effects of the shot.

Lol . Mine is different , my smell really wasn’t affected ( for long ) but ever since I had it my taste has changed . Somethings I use to like , I just don’t anymore .. they taste weird now .

Yes and we asked how you knew you never had Covid. It's a fair question. Especially because it's been shown that a very high percentage of Covid cases are asymptomatic, 40% in this article. But maybe that science doesnt matter to you?
Global Percentage of Asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 Infections

I never had Covid symptoms, but I still had Covid. When I had Covid I had no symptoms at all. So count me in that 40%, which warrants a question of how you can unequivocally note multiple times you never had it.

I would go to you any day as my doctor as I respect your opinions and viewpoints. I also agree that the vax was rushed and that it's outdated now. I also feel it's important to give all sides of this. Research shows that vaxes have saved 20 mill lives.

Based on official reported COVID-19 deaths, we estimated that vaccinations prevented 14·4 million (95% credible interval [Crl] 13·7–15·9) deaths from COVID-19 in 185 countries and territories between Dec 8, 2020, and Dec 8, 2021. This estimate rose to 19·8 million (95% Crl 19·1–20·4) deaths from COVID-19 averted when we used excess deaths as an estimate of the true extent of the pandemic, representing a global reduction of 63% in total deaths (19·8 million of 31·4 million) during the first year of COVID-19 vaccination.

DEFINE_ME

Of course that number is fungible but it definitely saved " a lot" of lives.
