I dumped Microsoft when I retired and bought my first Apple computer. Never had an error message, never plugged anything into it that it decided it needed a driver installed, it just works. Mostly it does an OS update when I'm sleeping, and the few times it hasn't it was done in 10 minutes. Apple's software has been flawless for me, which I'm not used coming from the Window's environment.

So, no real transmission of RSV for a year or two seems to have significantly altered the epidemiology and course of the virus in children older than 1. We have had a ton of toddlers, which are usually beyond the age of severe illness from RSV, with nasty infections, several requiring hospitalization.

Hope this isn't a sign of a terrible winter season...

COVID Relief Funds Went To Queer Cultural Center in San Francisco which had ‘drag story hour’ for Kids

COVID-19 relief funds from President Biden’s American Rescue Plan (ARP) went to the Queer Cultural Center in San Francisco that hosted a “drag story hour” and face painting for children at the public library, among other activities.

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), which received $135 million in ARP funds, awarded grants to hundreds of organizations “to help with recovery and reopening,” the NEA said in January.

According to NEA records, a $150,000 ARP grant was awarded to “The Center for Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Art & Culture (aka Queer Cultural Center)” in January “to support personnel expenses in response to and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.”

In June, the QCC hosted a “drag story hour” for children and offered face painting at the San Francisco Public Library.

Sitting here getting an easy reminder of why I never watch the news as they blame video games for fatal heart attacks, mental breakdowns, ER visits, etc. over the last two years.

Yes I believe that is correct. If i recall, Biden tested positive only three days after reportedly testing negative following a 5-day course of Pfizer's Paxlovid. I believe Fauci had a similar experience. The good thing is they were both fully vaccinated. Thanks to Joe's quadruple jab he did not die.
