Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Everyone has to do what they think is best, I just don't understand why people get tested. Does it make a difference in what you would do if it was just a bad cold vs Covid?

Yes, I avoid contact. For example I was supposed to visit my 88 yr old mother and of week. But all 5 residents where she lives got it at once about 2 months ago. One died. One was hospitalized for a month.

Understood. Just don't know why you care so much. Just skip that store.
They don’t work. Those people are engaging in outright idiocy, en masse.

Those people were also in the vanguard of the “you’re going to kill grandma” mob.

They can wear their preferred article for political statement. But I will never stop calling it out for what it is - a political statement.

It’s not about public safety.
It’s not about public health.

They’ll also be at the front of any attempt to force masking on the general public again via their shaming, mocking, and pressuring.

So yea, F them.

In news to no one...

I will say this, not all teachers act and feel this way. My wife has been a teacher in middle TN for over 20 years and she would prefer to be in the classroom. She believes the teacher's union does nothing but take teachers money. She also believes this virtual crap is only hurting students both academically and socially and has doubled the workload for teachers like her who are in a school system that is doing both in person classes and virtual for kids who are staying home by choice of their parents. This situation, like many others, has become 95% political with kids and most teachers alike, caught in the middle.

I called this two years ago (in this thread) as my wife is a teacher and I'm telling you now, it's going to get worse. As 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders move up, the gap between what they actually know and what they should know will only widen unless sweeping changes are made across the board. And why I agree to some extent that the education system could be better, the most significant issue is the lack of parental responsibility, especially in the lower grades.
Called it! Over three years ago by the way.

Most teachers I know (including my mom and sister in law) hated remote learning. The ones complaining about it are the same braindead types that think TikTok is a viable source of news and spend half their day in the classroom doomscrolling Instagram while the kids do whatever they want anyway.

Wow, so now shots won't eliminate CV19, "masks" don't work, 24-day quarantines were absurd, and kids should have actually stayed in school?

Maybe people like us weren't so crazy all along, after all?
Uh, no, you science-denying racist far-alt-right MAGAtard conspiracy theorist Nazi grandma-killing antivaxxer.

Did I get them all in?
