Can I ask a question? Do they really look at the trending? I say that because "supposedly" took out how the teams are doing the last ten games last yr. Correct?? I might be wrong. Just thought I would ask.

I obviously don't know 100%, but everything the bracketologists say is it's factored in, and I'm guessing they get their info from the committee.

We are last team in. Somehow Villanova stayed one spot above us. Last 4 in are Iowa St., Temple, Villanova, UT. First 4 out are Bama, Kentucky, Southern Miss, Ole Miss. Next 4 out are Maryland, Baylor, Arizona St., Arkansas.

He has Virgina as an 11 seed, which I think is crazy. Interesting that he has Virgina somewhat comfortably in while Palm has Virginia as likely out.

I dont know guys, I just think a UK kinda team gets our place...I know we destroyed them but they are UK. I just hope we win out and "bust in".

I think is is quite simple that we need three wins in a row and could really use four. We have to win three JMO or I feel our quest for the NCAA will be over.

Dont forget, theres always a couple of teams that crash the party by winning their conference tourney. That usually knocks out a few of the "last 4 in" teams. We need to win out and win some in the sect. Damn Georgia! We could have been getting near the top of that "last 4 in" group...

this...we can still get in with a win tonight and a loss to mizzou. just need to win at minimum 2 in the SECT...and that would put us right on the border of getting in.

obviously a lot of this will depend on other teams and how they perform. so many factors, but i still believe we can get in the tourney with a loss to Mizzou. Might mean we have to make it to the finals of the SECT.

All I know is if TN does get into the dance the higher seed is not going to want to play us soley on what we are capable of doing. When we play like we should and bring our A game we can beat anybody in the tournament. No higher seeded team is going to want to draw us for their first game. Any team would be kidding themselves if they said they didnt fear us just a little, they would have to pray Golden decides to take a day off.

I still don't believe The Committee will put Tennessee in and leave KenSucky out if it comes down to us and them as the last team in/first team out. The Golden Child will always win that race.

What does Villanova's win last night over Georgetown do to UT's chances of getting in?

UT could just get on a streak and win the SEC-T as the SEC is pretty open this year although UF seems to be getting on track.

We just have to hope they remember 88-58

I get what you're saying, and partially agree. Lunardi has really been pushing that UK will be evaluated post Noel, many others though seem to be evaluating them on the whole year. A loss tonight against Georgia would go a long ways to knocking them off the bubble.

Villanova's win basically cements their spot in the dance, same for Iowa State.

So do we have to beat Mizzu and win the next two games now to get in or how does it affect us??

There's no sure fire answer...it depends on other bubble teams, and conference tournament if and how many bids get stolen. I think personally we are in with a win over Missouri and a win at the SECT...however to feel comfortable we probably should win against Missouri and 2 at the SECT.

A Win vs Mizzou and 2 wins in sect and most people see a bid as a lock...win and 1 sect win and I think we get in...win vs mizzou and 1st rd loss and it's a coin flip imo, maybe 40%

Lose to Mizzou and it takes minimum 2, probably 3 wins to make it

I want us to move up out of that "last 4 in" category. As others have said, some team always plays spoiler by unexpectedly winning a conference tourney. If we're the last or next to last team, then I don't think we get in for that reason.

I feel the same way. I just think I would feel more comfortable if we won two in the tourney as well. Do you know if we have a thread on who we think will get each automatic conference bid? Thanks

You pretty much summed up how I feel right now.
