Laura Loomer banned from Twitter

It doesn't matter. It's Twitter's call based on how they interpret their own TOS. Don't like it? Don't use it

She isn't being prosecuted for anything she said so your free speech argument is irrelevant
The problem with your theory is when someone on the right gets banned saying something that isn't no worse than someone on the left yet they don't get banned. It has to work both ways. Twitter can't be biased on who they ban because of political affiliation.

Of course they can in the same way VN can be biased based on college sports team affiliation. Where is it written that life must be fair?

If it's viewed as unfair to the point that a mass of people stop using it, then it has a problem.
It's social media so very few care. All Twitter has to do is feed them a couple new bot followers and they'll forget all about it

They can but choose not to. There lies the problem.
You have yet to explain why there is a problem at all. Twitter doesn't hide who they are. If you don't like it then quit letting them make money using you.

Remember, if you don't pay for the service then you are the service

This isn't an issue of free speech. Twitter is a private entity so stop *****ing on the private sector.

Damn anti-capitalists... the lot of you.

Wow. So private entities are free to discriminate at will now? Thanks for sharing.

Yes. Any private entity should be able to refuse anyone service for any reason. If the refusal is so inherently bad, the consumer base will give consequence.

Why do you hate the free market so much?

Some of y'all were in the "why should a bakery be forced to bake a same sex wedding cake?" camp. What say you now?

Well, why should Twitter be forced to let your martyr keep her account?

No, Twitter could sink in quicksand. I think it was getting close a few months ago with the Alex Jones brouhaha (one example). If people start quitting because they've had enough, or, just as important, if they harass advertisers and get them to start pulling money, there's going to be some long nights at Twitter HQ.

Twitter isn't a simple website though. It's a publicly traded company. Why shouldn't they be subject to the same expectations as a brick and mortar business? If Twitter announced tomorrow they had decided to exclude a certain ethnic group, would that be allowed and okay? Yes, people have the choice to quit, but, IMO, companies do have some obligations to their consumers.

The users are not the customer on Twitter, or FB, or Instagram, or Snap Chat.... they are the product.

All we hear from your side is equality and this isn't it. Hopefully a right wing Federal judge steps in and makes Twitter reinstate her account. You know, like when the left wing Judges step in and turn things around they don't like.

It’s social media. Their product is the platform. When can a company discriminate and when can a company not?
There is no discrimination. Twitter chooses what content they think makes them money. They don't have to publish everything any one wants to write
