Only in VolNation can you find folks with one common interest arguing about something so minuscule....and on gameday too! Lol
If every VolNation member gathered in a room I envision it being like the riot scene from Anchorman. That's why makes this place so great though. Go Vols!!!!

When I was stationed in Korea in '95, they would play God Bless the U.S.A. over the loudspeakers to indicate the end of a long hard exercise. It was always sweet to hear the "Hills of Tennessee"! GBO!

Hey LG is a huge Vol fan.... With that being said, I don't care what his music sounds like - he rocks in my book.

Just to clarify...I spent 20 years in the Marine Corps and they don't come any more right-wing conservative than me. I met Lee Greenwood back in '94. I, and three of my fellow Marines, were in full Marine Corps Dress Blues and he was an arrogant man then and I assume he is still arrogant.
He made an off-hand remark about us and had it not been for the presence of a large group of civilians, we would have had words. Not wanting to create a scene and draw bad publicity to the 'Corps, we let it go.
I am almost certain that I love America as much or more than Lee Greenwood or any other entertainer. That said though, I still don't like Lee Greenwood or his song.

Greenwood is a loon. I met him once in Donelson. An opossum was stuck on the top of a six foot barbed wire fence. It was scared to climb on over and scared to go back down. He was so concerned he went two doors down to the fire dept to see if they could come and help. I whacked it with a broom ....problem solved

Nah, just a bunch of pinko commies :D

I am sure there are plenty of Dems who love America but for those on the far left, i am less sure. At very least the things they love about it are very different from the rest of us and patriotism is seen as a suckers bet or foolish because they see our country has been a force for bad in the world.

Pinko commies on the far Left. Facists brownshirts on the far Right.

That's why I just stay Independent and in the middle.

Love the song, not a fan of LG. It was great to see the old vets on the field. Especially the WWII cat. 👍
