I honestly don't think our coaching staff parsed the AU and LSU offer list and went after him. They scouted the talent they wanted and went after it. It just so happens that LSU and AU saw and wanted the same talent we got.

Jesus people, do research before you post ****, pretending that you know what you are talking about. I'm so ****ing sick of people acting like they know what's going on, and providing misinformation.
Maybe a coach or 2 had previously worked on Auburns staff, and just maybe, those coaches were recruiting said commit when they were At AU.
Our "staff" that scouted and went after it as you said, didn't do **** but offer a guy who was already committed to them at AU.

I would assume that CBJ has evaluated the kid independantly and is not just taking the fact that he has been offerred by other schools as the be all end all . If anything , their offers only 'back up' his eval.

It is always wise to look up the offers a kid has in hand rather that the * system. If a kid is being invited to play for major schools ...odds are , he has something that they want on the field.

He was an Auburn commit so I would think Tommy Thigpen and Willie Martinez know him pretty well.

The recruiting forum guys always get pissy this time of year! Some of the ego cases (Above) can't handle that some people don't have their vast ocean of knowledge! (Eye roll) Get used to the newbies clogging the threads and slowing things down...and get over it! It is awesome that fans want to learn about our new Vols!

I don't have an abundance of info. I come here to read to possibly get info.
I have no more knowledge than the next fan, except for what I have read posted over and over on this board and others.
So what I am getting at is people shouldn't make things up if they don't know what they are talking about.
Ask questions, by all means.
I usually don't post either, because most of the time I cannot provide truth or proof.

See...that ^^^ is how you have an humble conversation...the whole "Jesus people...and ****ing" stuff makes you look like a recruiting forum junkie jerk. I get what you are/were saying about people being informed before they post but your reaction was a little over the top...right?

govols74n, forgive me for my venom...I just find things get a little "angry" in the recruiting forum this time of year. Especially if you are the typical wondering fan who does not know what passion they are about to encounter when they start to follow the threads here. I have experienced it in the past and sometimes get a little "mother bear" about attacks in this forum. VFL!

yay another 3 star.. Whats next? Oh yeah.. the same beatdowns next year. As long as we keep getting excited over 3 star players.. we will continue getting pounded by everybody.
