Leonard Little Tweets

i can see both lawns from where I stand.

Im just saying that there is some middle ground. Yeah, the dude screwed up. Badly. (worse than that) But sometimes you have to trust that the legal system did what was right, and move on.

I can promise you that a fella like LL is living with that every day. (sigh....for the haters, YES he is living, the lady in the car is not. I get that) If the dude was bragging about what he got away with, that is one thing. The fella seems pretty humble. I doubt if the severity of the mistake has been lost with him.

Eventually we have to let go of these things. (and my prayers out to the victims family, because that loss never goes away, no matter how much time passes)

Picket Fence. Im sitting on it, and it is uncomfortable.
Thanks Gator Bill. Well spoken. I don't think that the guy is worthless or anything, but his statement to the police after the accident was troubling. One part of me says to chalk it up to his intoxication and the fact that the woman was not yet dead. She died 12 hours later.

The other side of me says that his statement was cold, heartless, and uncaring. The fact that he drove while intoxicated again bothers me. He isn't the first or last to have done that however. I just think that the fact that he played a game for U.T. makes him untouchable to the eyes of some on here. Their idol has feet of clay.

Again, are we going to continue to drag this out everytime LL tweets something in relation to the program? After awhile it becomes redundant and has the feel of some talking to hear their own voice.

Like a poster stated earlier. He was on TSR today. And anyone with a problem with his affiliation to UT should feel free to address it with him.

I LOVE college football. (NFL, not so much) And I am into those games as much as anyone, anywhere. It is a year round sport for me. Those kids are freaking incredible. I was even, a long time ago, a lowly regarded walkon WR myself. I completely and thoroughly dig college football. But these guys should not be idols. Not in the general sense.

There are guys like Arthur Ray Jr, who was dealt the "cancer card" after he committed, but before he started his college career. He fought off cancer and made it back to football in his 5th year on campus. I can look up to that dude.

There are a few guys in every program that you would want your kids to be like.

But putting the idol label on most athletes is probably the wrong thing to do anyways.

I agree. I feel the same way when somebody has to criticize me while I am talking to Gator Bill. After a while it becomes redundant, and has the feel of someone typing to see their own printed words.

By the way, what is TSR?

This... exactly.

Everyone knows the story people. The same comments over and over about it in any thread that mentions LL. It gets old and annoying, and adds nothing to the OP.

It is what it is. People are always going to bring it up, just as Michael Vick will always have people mentioning him and dog fighting in the same sentence.
