@JacquesDoucet: This Les Miles/Arkansas thing certainly isn't lunacy. It certainly has legs and this will be a very interesting 24 hours or so. #LSUroar

Also: Miles has no comment.

I know on local talk radio many fans are tired of Les Miles losing the big games. The 2 loses to Alabama the past 2 years aren't setting well with them.

It sure would be nice to have such problems. We are just trying to beat Vandy and KY at this point.

I'm starting to really not like Arkansas... Nothing worse than a slightly above mediocre program try to push around big boys with nothing but monetary power. Makes their delusional fans even more dilusional..

They are just doing what we should have done after kicking Fulmer out.

I don't fault them.

I think this may be a mix up... Les Miles's agent, George Bass, has only 1 other client currently, and his name is Gary Patterson.

It makes no sense to me whatsoever that Miles would consider another SEC school.

He is already guaranteed to be the highest paid coach in the SEC per his contract. Making this move is nothing more than a step down for him.

LSU Title Win Means At Least A $5.8 Million Salary Raise For Coach Les Miles - US Business News Blogs - CNBC

Maybe I am not understanding the deal. Miles makes less than 4 million a year. He only gets the increase if he wins the national title right? The Arkansas offer would pay him 5.5 million per year if he went 0-12. I see a huge difference in the deals.

My mistake. I read through the article again and you are right.

I misunderstood the terms but, after he won his first title, a new contract was signed and that kicked in that he would have to win the second title before getting the bump again.

I seriously hope this is someone blowing smoke though. I would much rather be competing with Arkansas for a coach than LSU.
