I thought that his new contract called for him being the highest paid coach in the SEC and atleast one of the top three nationally if he won the title. Is this wrong?
I dunno about Miles' contract, but I'm pretty sure that was something along the lines of Saban's contract when he was at LSU.

I haven't seen the contract but it was reported here in NOLA that LSU guaranteed Miles that he would be the highest paid coach in the SEC if he won the national title.

and Les has to attempt a 63yd FG into the wind to try and beat Ark. Brilliant!

Pathetic loss to Arkansas. Miles will end up like Fulmer. He got his national championship, then down hill from there. LSU will have a much shorter leash though. He should have taken the Michigan job while he had the chance.

Putrino even tried to hand him the game with the patented CPF squib but Les couldn't pull it out

Les should have bolted to Michigan when he had the chance. The competition is less and the writing was on the wall for a season such as this after Perrilloux's troubles.

Everybody has tried to downplay the concept that he will go downhill when Saban's players are gone. Doesn't losing to Ole Miss and a bad Arkansas team on consecutive weeks tell them anything? He's been making insane calls since he's been at LSU and they're starting to come back to haunt him now.

I'm having this same argument with an LSU fan on another site, and they're actually arguing that Saban was holding LSU back, and that Miles alone was the reason for their success over the past four years since Saban's departure.
