Leslie McDonald

And Leslie has told me numerous times he will not go to Memphis. He really wants to get away from here.

And about our assistant coach, I don't know if Tennessee officially gave him a GA job or if they told him they might have an opening. Either way, if he were to join Tennessee's staff, it would certainly help, but I don't think it would be a huge boost for us.

I don't really know. He probably thinks of both of us as his pretty close friends. My friendship with Leslie goes beyond just basketball. We talk about everyday, normal things. Some people in our school talk to him solely about basketball, but for me, I enjoy talking to him about more than that. Of course, a lot of our conversations do center around basketball and Tennessee, but it extends way beyond that. And I'm sure it's the same between him and Wylie.

what lifelongvol said is right. lol we are the only people on the basketball team that leslie wont dunk on. us 3 are just cool with each other so we dont try and show each other up. but there are some people that leslie will dunk on every chance he has, lifelongvol knows who it is hahahahaha:birgits_giggle:

and just like lifelongvol said he will not go to memphis. the only reason they are on the list is because of hometown and the impact/connections cal/memphis basketball have with briarcrest.

I just know that if he is coming down the lane full speed or if he is leading a fast break, I know to get the hell out of the way. That's how I avoid getting dunked on.

I don't think I could show Leslie up in anything. Maybe a three-point shooting contest, but anything else, I would get waxed.

Well that is good news that he is not comng to Memphis because local players from the city of Memphis seem to be better off when they go to other schools. Penny Hardaway and Anotnio Burks are exceptions to this. What I don't understand is why Memphis would try and keep him from UT. UT is a nice rival game for Memphis but won't affect anything in their conference.

They don't want UT to start regularly pulling recruits out of Memphis.

Obviously you aren't familiar with Memphis Basketball. This is a hotbed of talent for recruits. Now the sad part about it is that the majority of the kids that get signed are not even the best in the area. They are the ones who took pride in completing their school work. If 1/2 the guys that are on the playgrounds or in the gym would have taken the same initiave in the classroom then Memphis would be a college recruiters dream just like Texas and Florida when it comes to football.

Do some research on Lester Hudson who will be a complete steal in the NBA Draft. He went to UT Martin but he could have played at any D-1 school in the country. There are hundreds of Lester Hudson, Chris Loftons, Chris Douglas Roberts, and Tyler Smiths right here in Memphis !
