Here’s my issue with the entire thing. There are scary criminals among those who are here illegally. And that’s a problem regardless of the percentage of crimes committed by each group. There are also decent people trying to escape from places that just plain suck. The answer isn’t to lock errDamnBody out. The answer is not, let errDamnBody in either.

It’s not lost on me that neither party cares about a solution. Both want to appease their base by arguing about the symptoms. Even the recent BS border bill was about symptoms and not a cure.

It starts with reforming (starting over) the immigration system. Right now it’s nearly impossible for people to immigrate legally. It’s also not lost on me that neither party seems capable of a solution that allows legal immigration for the decent individuals we want while keeping the criminals out.


But I digress.

Yes dangerous criminals that are here illegally should be deported. lol. And New York is putting their own citizens at risk for political reasons.

But the article is just “federal official said something” and it turns out the federal official is ICE’s deportation head. Only the Washington Times would try to make that into an article

That sounds nice and all but it didn't match reality. We didn't take those liable to spread disease, become public charges, or criminals.
