Let the RB controversy begin!

Just remember whose 8 man fronts they were. From what I saw last night, UK could play with a 14 man defense and it wouldn't do them any good.

Definitely true, but all I'm saying is that by the time he was rolling up yardage, the season was pretty much in the toilet and everybody knew that he was about all we had.

There's no doubt though that other than Alabama, he really didn't see a big time defense.

The Three back monster is a much better approach. Trooper's work with the receivers was displayed. All I can say is that we're back !

No kidding! It has been a while since we have had a really really good group where any one of our backs could be a superstar. Keep their legs rested, and let them pound a tired defense.

The committee RB attack didn't work too well with Cedric Houston, Jabari Davis, Derrick Tinsley, and Troy Flemming. I think Riggs and Corey Larkins were in there some, too. However, I still maintain that all of those guys could have been fairly productive players if they had been utilized properly (except for Jabari.)

I think by the end of 2008, it will be widely obvious that Houston was the only good RB in that group, and all 3 of the current kids will be considered largely better than Tinsley, Davis, and Fleming.

We've got a good trio of tailbacks, and the thing I noticed most about Coker is not only his speed, but he is very quick as well. That's something that you don't see in the run-of-the-mill Div I back.

Oh, and by the way, kptvol, Jabari Davis had 34 yds for 2004. Get it straight, man! :)

My bad. He was an even better player than I remembered.

1. There is no "RB controversy"

2. I wouldn't change one thing about Austin Rogers's performance.

Depends on the players, with Travis Henry and Jamaal Lewis it worked well. Worked pretty well for USC with Reggie Bush and his back-up. All depends on the players.

Jamal Lewis didn't share carries withn anyone until he got hurt.

i think hardesty will end up being better than foster, but i think they both should run and hardesty even get a couple of starts if he earns it in practice or on the field the week before, i bet coker will end up at WR before he is done, he has exelent hands, i watched him in high school, i think that because i think dustin lindesy will come in and make an impact next year.

I don't think there is any such thing as a RB controversey. You can never have too much depth at tailback. After seeing the effects of the way we abused Foster last year, I think it would be great to limit his carries to 18-20 a game and give 10-12 apiece to Hardesty and Coker.

I agree GA. I think that Hardesty's durability is still an issue with the coaches. 12 carries is a perfect number for him. Lets keep everyone healthy.

There is no controversy. Foster clearly started and Hardesty was definately the 2nd RB in the game. Coker got in once the game was decided, and they actually gave Yancy a series before Coker just because he was a senior and it was a blowout. I think in a close ball game Foster will get around 18 carries, Hardesty around 10 (until he can prove durability), and Coker will get 1, maybe 2 series.

Ya know, I forgot about Taylor's fumbles last season because after Saturday I forgot about last season all together!

Lucas Taylor = Blinding Speed in the making. He needs easy out passes in the flat with some open ground. Nothing difficult like catching a ball after lots of hangtime. If he develops he will be the next receiving influence after the current crew moves on. He's got work to do. But, he's kind of like a gift in a brown bag. Could be Hotwheels. Might get Matchbox.

Flip a coin. Foster, Hardesty, Coker. Can't lose.

I love Running Back by Commitie. We got a stable of backs. Why not use them all.

That makes for a long and properous season. They'll all have work under their belts in case you get the freaky friday Bush plague. Louisville will be hurting.
