Let's compare Jesus and Muhammed (and debate homosexuality) (and Tombstone).

Yet, the cello has a literally zero percent chance of giving them an STD. Sure, promiscuous heteros can get STD's too, but it's a statistical fact that homosexuals, especially the homosexual men, are more likely to contract HIV and other STD's, versus a heterosexual male or female, who only is with other heterosexuals. So, sure can die from many things, but why allow your own child to go down a road like this, just because you think its OK??

i'm going to go out on a limb and assume my future son wont be a complete moron and have unprotected sex with anyone (male or female).

are you suggesting i start having gay sex?

i'm sure there are many things you are ok with your kid doing that you havent' done yourself. i've never been to puerto rico, but i don't think i'd ban them vacationing there.

No, I'm saying why should people be OK with other people doing something, yet not willing to try it or do it themselves??

This actually made me laugh.

Even though you think gator is spelled with an 'e', and you use an 8 in place of an 'at, and even though you're illogical and tend to be very sensitive when others disagree with you, you're still a pretty funny guy sometimes.

Let us expand further upon IPO's brilliant comment: Are you willing to have a man put a part of his body inside you? No? Then will you ever be OK with a man putting a part of his body inside your daughter?

There are plenty of things that need to be cleared up in your statement.

1. Herpes and HPV are so incredibly widespread, among all demographics, that it is impossible to state whether these are more statistically likely for homosexuals than heterosexuals; ergo, you have to limit your claim. I am going to presume that you will limit it to HIV.

2. HIV is a blood-borne virus. The reason it is spread more among homosexual males is that anal sex, tends to lead to both more chafing and more bleeding. Hence, the blood mixes. The reason it is so prevalent in developing nations is due to hygiene and sores caused by a lack of hygienic attention. Heterosexuals that engage in anal sex face the same statistical probability of becoming HIV positive as homosexual males. Of course, I am also going to presume that due to your religious stance that you are against anal sex. I am not. Therefore, whether they are homosexual or heterosexual, it makes no difference in my book.

3. There are many things that cause suffering in this world; I cannot protect my children from these things. I will teach them how to critically analyze choices and make far-sighted decisions with plenty of forethought.

i just told him that we need to try it out if i want to be ok with our potential gay sons.

Calling my wife now to let her know that it's my duty to sleep with as many asian, latina, and ebony princesses as possible, just in case my boy wants to go the ethnic route one day.

Give your son the best possible advantage he can have. Good parenting JT!

Yeah, my time spent in combat was low-risk...

This isn't exactly the era of of WW1 or WW2, come on now. Sure, there are some people in high risk or high combat areas, but the number of soldiers dying in action is no where near what it used to be. My wife was in Kuwait, and outside the occasional fight on base, wasn't really in harms way, according to her.

Doesn't mean other people were not.
