Let's Give Mizzou a Beatdown and Plan for Brock Bowers Return

Tua doesn't run and block and make cuts every play. Tillman wasn't the same last year for sure when he came back.
Everybody's different. A return for him this week or next at this point would put him in the top probably 10-20 percent of athletes with the injury as far as time out, but it's not unheard of.

This. If Bowers is better than 80%, I’d be surprised. I expect Saturday is about giving him a curtain call in front of the home crowd. Maybe he’ll do more, but I kinda doubt it.
The tightrope surgery may help with healing time but function and trust aren't there that quickly. How many times have we had players have it and was not able to come back to their pre-injury level throughout the season. Tilman and Mays come to mind.

Hey if anyone can pull it off it's Bowers he is amazing. Time will definitely tell.

No need to worry about Mizzou, the focus needs to be on Georgia next week.
I disagree. Last year south Carolina put a beat down on Tennessee because they weren't focused. We don't need that against Missouri this Saturday. The team needs to be laser focused on beating Missouri, and not even have "Georgia on my mind" so to speak. Take care of business in Columbia, then the focus can be on the dawgs.

Hopefully we aren't spending precious time we could be using to better prepare for Georgia on little ol Mizzou. Mizzou is not worth our time. The media is making it sound like it will be a close game when Huepel's offense has steamrolled Mizzou the last two years. Should be the same on Saturday. Need to look ahead to Georgia.

We should beat Mizzou but it will have to be a total meltdown from GA for us to pull that one out. It can happen, though!

It would absolutely not take a total meltdown by ga, they are very good, they are not great.

Sometimes the line between player and fan gets blurred for me, especially when I'm in full uniform and 15 beers deep during the games.
After 15 beers, the line can't be the only thing that's blurry.

I totally agree- He will not be 100% healthy, but having him on the field as decoy could pose a problem.

Passing Game: UGA have a plethora of weapons on offense, and if I'm being honest, I don't think they need him. I think we'll be better off with him on the field than off. Beck tends to focus too much on Bowers which takes away from their other weapons.
Running Game: They will not run on us because their OL is soft as tissue; however, if Beck gets into a rhythm throwing ,then we may be in trouble. The strategy is clear against the Mutts. Load the box and make Beck beat you in the air.

As you all know- we will run all over them. Our running game will stiffle their Defensive front which is not good at all. If we can tire out their defense then we will win going away. Every team has ran successfully againt Georgia this year. Strangely, their strength, which was stopping the run, has turned into their biggest weakness, in my opinion.

My predictions:

Saturday, Nov 11 score 34-27 (Good Guys in the big O)
Saturday, Nov 18 score 31-27 (not sure which way)

Gooooo Vols

Another, apparently, delusional fan. They didn't get ranked at 12th or so because somebody liked them. They had played well and if you're still not convinced go back to how they were very competitive with the dawgs in Athens. Mizzou is better than last years team. The former qb Cook replaced now plays for Bowling Green.

We got this (my heart talking)- I have been waiting for over 350 days for our revenge on the mutts.

We cannot let UGA come to Neyland and win under any circumstances but I got a sinking gut feeling about both games. This weekend will be Missouri "super-bowl" game and next week will be ours; however, I have a feeling that Kirby will hold out Bowers for the Ole Miss game and start him at Neyland for their extra team motivation and inspiration. We have our own inspiration...SEC East Champs🤬

Go Vols
Bowers won't be back this season. Period, dot.
