Maybe so..but i just think he wants to coach men not boys.

What if he love`s his wife ,who`s a former Tennessee cheerleader ,so much he wants to bring her home to Knoxville, where all her folks live? What if he wants to be a legend at the school his mentor,Sir John Majors, played&coached? What if he wants to raise his family in beautiful Tennessee instead of Crackadelphia or another NFL city. What if he knows he could become the greatest coach in the history of football at Tennessee? What if he knows the UT job is the most challenging coaching position in the nation? I don`t know what King John thinks or knows or wants. But I can imagine what I would in his position. Think about it....Go Vols!!!

...and I'll go a step further. Peyton Manning will be the OC in 2015 and the head coach when Chucky is finished.

Look....I know everyone wants JG. he would be great coach to have. All those things you mentioned are nice to think about and would be great for the school, the fans and ultimately JG himself. I'm just not completely sold on the idea that he is coming here or is even the best coach for the job. He hasn't coached in some time at the college level, i know some people think, that there can't be that much difference, but you can bet there is. Your right, this job is very attractive to alot of people and if it were me and i was good enough to coach at that level I would gladly accept the position, but what if it's not what he wants. Maybe his wife is happy where they are. Besides that, he obviously doesn't have to prove anything because everyone on here already thinks he's Gods gift to football. He is very well respected in all coaching circles, thats obvious as well, hell I respect the man and I dont even know him or a thing he stands for. I just think Volnation should becareful about getting their hopes up only to be let down if it's not JG. Because in all likely hood the chances are it won't be......General Neyland is gonna be hard to beat as greatest coach.

Well, I was wrong. Not that I wanted Dooley back. I just had a gut feeling we would beat Vamdy and UK, go bowling, and ride the roller coaster one more year. Excited for what the future may hold for my beloved Vols but nervous because the powers that be haven't shown me squat in their ability to hire a quality coach.

Im curious to know that if they had of beatin KY and Vandy if Hart would have stayed with him....my feeling is no but i think if they didn't get interest from a proven coach I could see a scenerio where Dooley stayed. Unlikely but possible
